Any Aussies ballin with the eventuri intake?

Hi guys

Been looking at this intake for a while, curious if any aussies, particularly melbournians, have installed this intake

Would love to meet up and hear it irl before spending the baller coin

Also can you advise where you purchased from, there seems to be some quite varying pricing bw UK, USA and Aus dealers

is it worth the $$$?

Would love to know how you go. I'm looking to get one as well. Blue carbon weave. Would love to hear the difference.

3-4k depending where you buy from

I'm still on fence whether I will like the extra spool noise from an open style airbox, so I bought an injen Intake for roughly 500 and will install that first

If it sounds good, I'll remove it and re mortgage the house for an eventuri

$3-4k WTF???
Has to be pretty good to make it worth while. Sure it looks good, but...

It's funny how some things have just gotten so expensive lately.
Like $8k for an exhaust, $2k for splitters

yep, mod'ing this car is very discouraging due to parts prices vs other platforms

reminds me of when i was building my r35 gtr alongside my evo x - same brand injectors/size for example were more than triple the price for the gtr

leaning towards leaving the f80 stock (well mpe only that is) and buying something like the facelifted sti to have some fun with mod'ing

Been running the Eventuri intake for 9 months. The intake noise isnt obtrusive. I can't provide isolated feedback on the install as I fitted Gintani down pipes to marry up to the M Performance cat back and JB4 stage ii. I can tell you it paints all the way through 3rd gear without issue though

I installed one the other day and the fit and finish is superb.

Yes it's exxy, but it's a big intake with a lot of carbon fibre.. my suggestion is pay extra for the airscoops behind the vents they look top notch.

Had purchased one from U.K. (full carbon) but the sale got rejected, which is a shame as the U.K. pricing ex vat is more favourable to us than USA rrp

Looking to source elsewhere now - unfortunately our Aussie distributor is too far off the going rate

Look forward to seeing the photos, can't wait to see it.

Price aside, a very tasteful mod.

Not comfortable doing that, but Bruno is a sensational bloke, ring him, his prices are sharp.

OMG...................just had Akrapovic Catless Downpipes installed (with delete r).......still trying to process both the sound and the feeling..........Will give it a week and then list a review, but suffice to say, the Competition Pack performance exhaust NEVER sounded so good................the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when you give it a fist full!!!!!! Gotta love the guys at City Performance!

the delete-r looks like a lot of looms and connectors just to bypass a cel, given you're on the fence of warranty territory, might be worth just going all in with a jb4

keen for sound clips mate - i was so close to ditching the secondary cats on my mpe, but the sound after some aggressive driving seems to have gotten better

edit! found this

That clip is a very accurate depiction of the sound.

However, the benefits you can't see from the clip are:

1. Engine Setting: Efficient - you won't piss off your neighbours and you can cruise around "under the radar" (Pardon the pun);
2. Engine Setting: Sports Plus - you will definitely piss of your neighbours, the exhaust is louder and downright anti social (and intoxicating) when you hit about 4000 revs on the way up under hard acceleration.

I was at City Performance this morning and heard an M4 with catback akra system and then mine with akra downpipes and performance exhaust and its line ball on which sounds better (personal choice no doubt).................that said, the titanium and performance gains from the akra cat back system are where I would lose out, although I'll eventually do a dyno run once the eventuri is installed and we can see how the number stack up.

Overall I have a much deeper almost guttural sound from the performance exhaust now.

That's good to know.

I've heard the Competition Pack with MPE and Competition Pack with Akra (Evo?) and the Akra does sound fuller and deeper.

Interesting to hear how adding the Akra downpipes sounds with the MPE.

At last...............................

Thanks to the guys at City Perfomance Centre. As usual, installation work is absolutely perfect!

Will come back with thoughts as the drive home from collecting the car was in peak hour Sydney traffic
