Would it have been too much to actually see the car?

They could have paid me $25,000, and I would have told them to put the car on a slowly rotating floor in a dark room with strobe lights, and to film it rotating at normal speed, with a few slow-motion/reverse moments, as though the car were on a DJ mix table. Then go straight to black with "2015 BMW M3" and "2015 BMW M4" in white text. Overlay the whole thing with some sort of dub step music, and you'd be golden. Would have taken a half hour to film an appropriate teaser vid and maybe another 45 minutes in post-production.

I wonder how reaction to the actual reveal will go?

so? we don't HAVE to like it, and it has nothing to do with the car except for be lame and not entertaining or interesting. I still like bmw despite their terrible "teaser"

this is a forum, I would hope that we are free to express our opinions, whether or not they are positive towards BMW

regardless of my opinion of the teaser, I will be buying an f80 m3 and am excited for the reveal, but much more excited to see the pricing released and options list.

and I have no clue what the last part is supposed to mean. im guessing an electric car is the headliner?
