I'm really liking that auto flip out one. And since someone managed to instal it under the car so no need of cutting the mesh, I may just do it!

It's pretty solid...if you browse the other posts in the link on my previous comment, people use toggle bolts to install it.

Flip out Plate

Flip out plate on M4. The plate can be programmed to the garage door buttons in rear view mirror.

How hards was the install? Any cutting? Did you use adhesive or screws? How is it at high speeds? Does it bend back to the bumper? Looks sweet!

Just bought a universal one off ebay for $115.

Brought it to a buddies shop to have installed. They had to unscrew the lower radiator (see pic). The plate holder is screwed down in several locations and is really secure. They did have to cut out the mesh but that's unavoidable. Plus, you can't really notice it.

That looks great! I'm probably gonna go this route.

Can the remote be used while driving?

Does anyone know the thread size for the F8X tow hooks? Are the same thread front and rear?

I use US Millworks and I've been very happy with it.

I use the one from pedal haus. Got it for $77 shipped. Easy to install, and can be turned around to suit the direction of the plate with respect to the car.

Not sure of the actual thread side but I think it is not a normal thread. It is very coarse for the size if the bolt.

Front and rear are the same since you only have one tow hook to screw in to them.

I think it's 17mm. The pedal haus tow hook had a nut on the mounting bolt, and it was 17mm.

Thanks for the bit of info. I'm guessing it might be a standard size vs. metric. That's just based on my research. Anyone else want to chime in?

Question Front License plate Tow Hook suggestions?

What do you guys use for a front plate holder?

Is there a specific kit that fits best for the F80 m3?

There are many threads on this already - a little search would help.

If you are in California you don't really need front plates
