XPel vs SunTek Paint Protection Film
Any feedback or comments / experience with XPel vs. SunTek?
I've got quotes for either with a $50 premium for XPel over SunTek and have been told 1. SunTek installs easier 2. SunTek is glossier 3. SunTek warranty is only 5 years vs XPel which is 10 years. so it seems that only difference is 10 year vs 5 year warranty. |

I have Suntek on mine and was told the same thing. I'll take some up close photos tonight so you can see what it looks like installed and make your own call.

XPEL here. First time. Looks great, does what it's supposed to do. Overall I'm happy. Paid $1600 for full front + rocker panels and tint.

You cant go wrong with either. The worse choice would not to go with any on day one.
I have suntek. Full. Love it. I paid half of what IMMLaw paid.

UH_TX where did you get your car done? When you say Full, do you mean the entire car? or just full front?

Suntek here. Full frontal and wheel arches. $1350 IIRC
Looks great, they claybar the car before putting on the tint. Have had two minor film penetrations on the front bumper, but I track my quite often. Should have done the rocker panels too.

The two brands are minimal in comparison. Just find out who the best installer is and go with that. I had full front, a pillars, first 12 inches of CF roof, rockers, and side mirrors for $1200

Suntec - the reason being my installer said he could do a better job with the install. I do agree though that the warranty with Xpel is better. Can't comm on the finish with Xpel but the Suntec looks amazing!
Went with Full hood, front & rear bumper, lights, rear view mirror, Full roof, all 4 doors, and rocker panels! It cost a small fortune but here in AZ it's like driving through a sand blaster all day on these roads.... |

I read on another forum that XPEL film is thicker too, by something like 30%.So it makes sense that suntek is a bit cheaper. The xpel warranty is also 10 years to their 5, so even if nothing else, that shows that XPEL stands behind their film. I don't have it on any of my cars yet, but I've known people who have had it done and you'd never even know. I've been looking for a F30 and when I get it, I'll be going with XPEL. If you're already getting it done, why not just pay a fraction more in the first place and get it done right?

Did you go to TVP by any chance? I still haven't decided where to take mine, but it seems like they have a good rep.
