Went with Full hood, front & rear bumper, lights, rear view mirror, Full roof, all 4 doors, and rocker panels! It cost a small fortune but here in AZ it's like driving through a sand blaster all day on these roads....

Detailer is charging me $1550 for suntek, includes everything listed below:

Engine bay detail, interior detail to remove any grime or film from transport etc thorough exterior decontamination, correct the paint to remove any defects and bring out the more gloss, coat the paint/wheels. Apply film to front bumper, hood, mirror caps and fenders.

Is that a good price or am I getting shafted?

How long have you been bare? Practices before doing this?

That's an absolute steal. You're getting a full detail (~$800-1000) for free.

I don't have the car yet but it's first on my to do lists. He's a acquaintance of mine but I don't really trust anyone. I've seen some of his work and it's top notch. He does a lot of high end cars. I'm not sure if he owns the business with a friend of his but they both do this type of work full time.

could be but the xpel guy does all of McLaren's cars, so I'm sure he knows what he is doing.

We are certified installers of both films, each film is different. Xpel has a 10 year warranty vs. SunTek's 5 year warranty, SunTek offers better looks and gloss but Xpel is thicker.

That is an installation issue and actually covered under the warranty. The film should not lift or delaminate over time.

I'm happy with my XPEL so far. Only been on for few weeks, but exceeded my expectations overall fit and looks. Paid $1600 for full front hood, bumper, lights, and mirrors. Not cheap, but feeling more comfortable about driving on the highway is definitely worth it.

For the right price the installer takes off the panels so maybe he does this for these ultra expensive cars but they do not feel like charging a premium price for car that costs a fraction of a new McLaren.

Anyone heard of or have experience with the Premium Shield Paint Protection Film product?

I heard it's the guy that initially developed the 3M film then once his non compete was over, created a new/better film for cars.
