Dear BMW, I HOPE You're listening
Some members might think this is silly, one's that are waiting along with me will agree. I know there has to be people from BMW that lurk around these forums for R&D and to collect feedback from consumers. I hope this letter finds it's way to the ear's of the decision makers at BMW.
Dear BMW, I would like to say that I am so upset with the game you are playing by holding ALL of our new M3/M4's at port. We all know the "Software" update is not true as other members have taken delivery in other countries. Any software update can be completed by the dealer... It is not right that you release the cars to dealers in other parts of the world. Dealers in Canada already have them in stock, Member's in the UAE already have taken possession of their M3's, Yet you make us, the "Americans" wait. Do you not trust us? It is very insulting to say the least. I have money in hand as well as deposits placed down on my M4. My advice to you is to take the money and run while it is there. That is a smart business move. Not to make us all wait, knowing our cars are sitting collecting dust. Further more, the lack of information or false information from dealers is all thanks to the BMW Rep's and BMWNA hotline who are more clueless than we are about our cars. We have all waited long enough. For those of us that have purchased launch cars or have cars at port sitting rotting outside, Please get them on trucks and let us get our cars.. Enough with the games. A simple response from members as a sign of support might go a long way. We are all fan's of BMW which is why we belong here to this forum, I think your fan's deserve their product they are paying you an arm and a leg for. If this message actually works (which I don't think it will) But if it does, We will all be very grateful and it will not be forgotten. If you don't, It will only leave a bad taste in my mouth. We want more information BMW! Thanks for reading. If you didn't read this, Then thanks for nothing. |

Tell Tim Cook you want an iPhone 6 early. You guys need to realize that you aren't charged for the cars, other than a token deposit. Just relax and realize that launching this car right is a big deal to BMW, and I'm sure they want to do it according to grander plan.
Do you give kids all their Christmas presents before Christmas? You have to think big picture, and a few fan boys, like you and me, really shouldn't or can't shape that picture. A hundred or so M3/4s rolling out together on launch day will be cool. |

Especially the Christmas comparison... everybody knew that the release date is 6/21 so nobody should expect the cars to be around any sooner. To me this is such a negative way of seeing it. I'm expecting to take delivery no earlier than the launch date (on any car) and if I suddenly get it sooner I'm happy about it. Maybe BMW should just stop the possibility for tracking the car - would that help? If you don't know where it sits you cannot be mad about the car not being at your driveway just yet!

BMW can do whatever they want. Holding product until the scheduled release date is done by every company in every industry. You think a bunch of whiny, impatient owners are going to affect that? We're all adults here, why don't we start acting like it.

BMWs customer service sucks. When I'm buying an 80 thousand dollar car I expect some details. BMW has done a terrible job with the M3/M4 launch. I canceled my order and I'll be buying a porsche instead.

That's probably what you should've done in the first place. It better be AT LEAST a C4S.

BMW does a much better job providing information than Porsche does. Porsche doesn't haven't a customer service hotline or an online status portal that you can access like BMW does. My Porsche took over 5 months from order to delivery and disappeared from the sight of my dealership multiple times and just showed up one day. Although I couldn't sleep for 5 months, I'm still not complaining.

Dear BMW please build my car so I can get away from the Audi, and I can actually have fun in my life again.
Cheers, Lups, the most pathetic female in the world.

But its all good no worries, def a lot bigger picture that is in play Im just excited that I am able to acquire the car at all, I feel very blessed. June 21st is not that far away we can make it!

I'm much more peeved about the color palette. Why does literally every other car that BMW makes have more (and better) color choices than the m3/m4. Okay my whining is done for the day though

Honestly, I'm happy with the colors BMW choose. I can't decide between the few they gave anyways. Anymore than that, and jesus, I would've lost my mind by now.

Why would BMW deliberately delay the reason for launch in the US unless it were legitimate? Sounds weird to me given the car is out and being driven in other parts of the world. What's this bigger picture?
Also the iphone analogy doesn't apply as this is the target market. So you release one in the UAE in an uncontrolled way? Doesn't make sense unless that UAE release was in fact controlled? If that's the case then this company has some major issues. |

I understand the frustration with some people, but I like this perspective.
