GTS flash for M4 CS
Anyone here successfully flashed full GTS mods using esys for non-gts M4? If so, do you have full steps to take to avoid any unnecessary flash/coding modules, etc..
Thank you in adadvance |

the GTS without water injection makes less power (but the same torque) than a CS, or are you talking about an aftermarket "GTS" tune that isn't really a true GTS file?

I am referring to the flash that is supposed to improve drive train shifting + steering, including HP increase, by changing VO to GTS, all done through esys.

You cannot flash the ecu software to OEM BMW GTS. There are companies that sell 'GTS tunes' which mimic the OEM GTS software, but it's obviously not the same. |

I want to do it on a non-gts M4. I hear it will improve shifting and handling, including HP by updating software with GTS files using esys. |

I don't see how you could get more power out of the gts ecu file. When the gts ecu detects no water it reverts to the zcp tune

Flashing a CS to GTS tuning parameters will downgrade performance as each tune is optimized for their respective hardware and software combinations. You’re better off sticking with the CS tune on a CS.

The GTS tune has a bit more top end boost than the CS tune. An after market GTS simulated tune without water injection makes more power than the CS tune on 102 RON race fuel, but on 98 RON, the GTS version tune I dyno tested made less power than the CS tune. I guess the water injection's used for detonation resistance to accommodate the additional boost. I believe the GTS tune reverts back to ZCP top end power without the water injection functioning or empty water tank.

My point was mainly about DSC, DCT, EPS and ABS (EDC not applicable). The CS ABS tune was even actually shown to be better the GTS.

Out of experience and not from what I heard.
Yes you can flash the GTS Software but it is protected by a FSC. You get tons of massages, limp mode and faults for water injection. The Software is useless without the FSC. Your exhaust tone will change tho. |

Interestingly at low speed with conservative driving, the ZCP setup would feel like the better handling variant to the average person. It's when you drive harder and faster the CS setup takes effect and the ZCP set up feels a bit nervous and unpredictable in comparison. |

Agreed, the CS damping when paired with the right hardware is quite good.
