Alpine White vs Mineral White

My AW e90 M3 next to my brother's MW X1: He remarked how much cleaner my car looked. Mine is a 2009 his a 2014. Mine was last washed 10 days prior and his 2 days before.

MW and i'm never going back! The pearl/metallic effect looks amazing under different lighting conditions and it definitely gives the car a more premium feel. Look at any high end car in white, most will be a 3 stage metallic paint.

I don't know when a white car became girly/soft... but that's just haters/trolls at their best.

I liked AW but I absolutely love MW.

saw a aw 435i grancouple and mw m235i side by side inside the show room and they actually LOOK THE SAME without looking at the sticker....

maybe mw look better under the sunlight...

Under most lighting MW will highlight all the body lines better what any flat color like AW. It is due to the way light is reflecting off the pearls in MW. If you want to highlight all the body lines/curves of the car get MW. If not get AW.

Indoors and in cloudy conditions, they look the same. In sunlight, you can see the difference.

I have a pearl white MV Agusta motorcycle. It looked beautiful brand new. Still does, but it did get yellowish through the years. I went AW and I hope it will stay white better.

I disagree...

MW shows the lines way better. You see the angles better. The metallic flake sparkles.

I like AW, don't get me wrong, but it makes the car look like a sheet of white paper in the sun Well, maybe a bit of an exaggeration. In overcast weather, AW looks great as it doesn't hide the detail. In sunshine it looks washed out to me. The pics above show how nice AW looks when it isn't sunny. MW looks nice all the time

This is the beauty of subjectivity and personal preference and how it is next to impossible to tell someone else what color they like

Wife has a MW 750li. Nice color for an upscale luxury car. My ordered M4 is AW. Going from Jerez Black to AW. Jusr didn't like many of the current color choices. AW is sporty to me, especially with the black contrasting CF roof.

I am new here and I know there are previous posts on this but I have yet to locate a new M3/M4 with either MW or AW with Silverstone Interior. I am considering this combination but am curious what folks thoughts are on it and if possible if their is one person out there who has this on a new M3/M4 and can share some pictures with angles that show both the exterior of the car with the interior?

I finally got to see the 2 colors in person yesterday. It's really very similar. Personally, I prefer Alpine, but Mineral's really cool looking too. I don't think there is a way to describe the difference. You just have to see them in person. And, different lighting really makes a huge difference.

Exactly the opposite to me! Had MW on order , saw it next to AW and changed my order. As has already been said MW looks luxury AW looks more sporting. On an M3 I would go with the AW every time but that's why we all have a choice!

I've never liked pearl on "sport" cars. Big bodies I don't mind so much but still prefer non pearl.
