Tanzanite Blue
The standard colour choices available this time around seem to be disappointing to 'some' reading through several of the threads.
Especially in the medium to darker blue range which has always been part of the M colour palette (Estorils etc.) My personal choices of the standard colours would be AW, Mineral or Black. I am sure all the colours will look good on this car, depending on personal preferences. I cannot get with the YMB or Austin Yellow. Sakhir is intriguing but I like understated a bit more. Not sure about the rest of the world - but we can get Tanzanite Blue in Canada - I assume under individual. This might be the goldilocks colour for the F80/F82. I have not seen it in person but it kind of reminds me of characteristics of the Carbon Black I had on my now departed 535. It changed under different lighting conditions from almost a extreme dark blue to black. This might be one time I go individual. |

Tanzanite blue would look amazing on the new M4. Here is a forum member that just got a tanzanite M3 coupe in July. You can really see all the shades of the color:

I love the color but I've had a midnight blue gto, so again I want to be different and go SSII.. but I'd have to go SO interior which to me is close to the fox red I have currently.. Second choice might be azurite over amaro brown? Was that the color closest to cinnamon? I love the carbon black over cinnamon e46 m3 so if I could come close to replicating that I'd be pretty happy too.. Decisions are hard.

The issue may be pricing. Looking at order guides, it appears that in Canada there is no extra charge for these colors. (?) Here in the US, it's $1950 for Priority 1 Individual colors for the M6. Still much cheaper than picking a custom color from the entire available Individual palette but not exactly cheap either. |

Sam, I'm with you.
Tanzanite Blue is currently my #1 pick for the next M. Let's hope BMW puts it in the Individual "options" category for us Canucks. Will cost less than a true Individual order.* * For my E92 M3, I had gotten approved for Midnight Blue by BMW head office. But the price would have been $5000, to which I would have had to add more $$ for the Individual Piano Black trim and Shadowline trim. Going with the standard Individual option color of Azurite was a lot cheaper.

Tanzanite Blue
Tks for the pic Reid, the metallic blue looks great but I would be very hesitant to get a white interior for practical reasons
Bob, they are producing the Tanzanite blue for the F80 in July so I am surprised it is not available in the US |
