Who bought, who leased?

Like the title states I am curious who is in it for the long haul and who will be switching out after 3 years and why.

Garage List
2004 BMW M3  [0.00]
2015 BMW M4  [0.00]
Lease:
1- If I really love it, I can always buy it after my lease or get into a new BMW as the option will be available after 2 1/2 years
2- My car has Carbon ceramic brakes, so if I end up tracking it, ill let the dealer deal with CCB replacement

This is the first car I've leased. After getting bored with my purchased cars every two to three years I decided leasing was probably a better option for me.

lease: because I may get bored of AY (I think I really want TVII as my next color)... the LCI may be THAT much better... or like ^^ said, I can always decide to buy it at the end and have it certified. I don't think I will keep one of these after warranty though.

Which did you go for? OEM BMW? 7/100? If so, please share the price if you don't mind.

Lease 36 mo.

I would think the majority of cars are on leases. Surely someone here knows those numbers.

In the past 5 years I have had 9 cars. Leasing is the only way to do it!

Bought, always tell myself to keep the car for 3+ years but my previous 2 cars I had both for 1 year, the one before that for 2 years.
This time I WILL keep it for 3 years damnit! Or who knows if the updated M4 is released haha

Bought: because it offers the flexibility to keep/sell the car when you want with less hassle then dealing with a lease transfer.

It's a depreciating asset. You're paying someone else's car payment either way (unless you keep it forever).

trying out my first lease ever with the M3. i've bought all of my past vehicles. but after looking at my past driving habits, i only put around 10K miles a year. i have also realized that I like the latest and greatest. lastly, i like the peace of mind of knowing my car is entirely covered by warranty during my "ownership".

german cars drive awesome and are fast, but repair/maintenance costs are high after the factory warranty runs out.

the downside? i am way more hesitant in doing adding a tune or downpipes to this leased car.

Lease because I would never finance a pre-LCI car.
