I again find the sedan better proportioned than the coupe. Not a fan of the slope back. BMW "box" design with killer engines worked for decades... careful BMW, don't fix what worked too much.

Off topic but how come the COTM archives haven't been updated in a while?

Yes the rear is flared as well as the front. It's very hard to tell but after spending several days with the car and seeing it next to an f32 I was able to confirm this.

I can only speak for press days where the cars were unlocked until there were some issues with the batteries draining and triggering the alarms so they had to be locked

Intercooler...
Is that true? No front mount Intercooler like the 335i?
The S55 uses air to liquid intercoolers, the aluminum boxes by the engine transfer heat to the liquid but there has to be another heat exchanger somewhere to transfer heat from that water to the air. That's probably mounted in the front like the FMIC on a 335i.

Using a liquid cooling system with the air to water heat exchangers so close to the turbos and engine should be great for throttle response, the charge air won't have to go through an entire frount mount intercooler like it does on the N55.

Great pis, Exmowner. The speedometer is in MPH. I thought USA have dual KM & MPH, whereas Canada only has KM.

Are the M3/M4 still on display in Detroit, or did they move them to Montreal? Was going to Detroit later this week to see them.

One positive is I'm in love with the manual gear selector. The shape, location, size and look are ALL perfect. Let's hope it feels as good.

If you've ever driven an E9X, then you've already experienced it. It's a carryover from the previous car.

Wow, I just enlarged the pic (on my IPhone) and you appear to be correct. The way it appeared on my phone looked like the Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ.
