To anyone thinking about or might have already ordered the Competition Package. There was a recent price drop in Canada. The package list is now $6,500 instead of $7,900. Please make sure your dealer passes his along if you ordered in Feb or April or even now.

I saved the difference as I ordered at $7,900 and the price has dropped to $6,500. I guess they were not getting enough CP orders.

Is it true that the Ultimate Package includes the alcantara steering wheel (which is also unheated)?

If so, can it be deleted and the leather steering wheel (which is also heated) substituted?

Not to thread crap but you have asked the same question in 4 different threads now...

Yes its included in the ultimate pack, no its not heated.
Ask you dealer if it can be swapped when ordering

My dealer says it isn't included. Others in this forum say it is. Getting a bunch of different opinions here. The 2017 ordering guide my dealer sent me does not mention the type of steering wheel nor does it show that the Ultimate Package deletes the leather version.

My dealer said that it was included on previous Ultimate Packages but it couldn't be deleted, so I'd have to get it modded later if it is included.

Just trying to get the best info possible and then price a new steering wheel, if necessary.

Your dealer is wrong, the ultimate pack is simply a way of bundling sub packages together. The alcantara wheel is bundled into the M Perf Carbon Package which is then bundled into the Ultimate Package. See the attached bulletin.

To me it is a no BRAINER... I was going to buy the 2016 M3 ZCP. However, when I realized how many changes are happening to the 2017 model I changed my mind. First off, the new Idrive 5.0 will be on the MY2017 vehicles. You get wireless charging for your phone (if it supports it), WIFI hot spot in the vehicle for everyone riding with you and APPLE car play compatibility. If you are going to order a fully spec'd car then you must wait, since you will save about 4K off MSRP by choosing the ultimate package plus you get to choose from a few individual colors at NO CHARGE...
