Pics of M4 GTS at local dealership
Went to the dealer today to look at X1, but was happy to see M4 GTS in the showroom.
Also, they also had 14 M4's all lined up, mostly with SO interior. I didn't know that SO is so popular! |

Yeah, what a joke. I will never pay a "market adjustment" on principal alone. This one is particularly irking, as you can buy a GTS at MSRP all day long judging by a quick look on AutoTrader. One of many: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...delCode1=BMWM4

New century is getting their 15 mins of fame these days. Too bad it's known as the dealer that has unique cars for a turrrible mark up.
Not a fan of their business practices. I don't believe the open market pricing warrants this kind of mark up. Here is to having some bad ass service loaners. |

The 100k markup is what I've seen at two dealers here in the SoCal area. They've been there for quite some time so nobody is bitting.

It is my local dealer too, and that GTS has been sitting there for a while since December.

I wouldn't even pay list, let alone even a $1 markup. What a joke. Buy a standard M4 and put $10k in mods and tuning into it. You will CRUSH a GTS.

Yes, but it won't be a GTS, right?

Um, yeah. Why would you want it to be if it's slower and more expensive?

I know that dealership.
I'm pretty certain they haven't updated/removed the tag. There is a reason for this btw, because the area the dealership is located is near where people been calling the "Asian" Beverly Hills. It'll sit long enough until someone eventually bites. They had the M6 Competition sitting around just a long before someone finally bought it. And like Steve Thomas BMW, had the remove the ugly ass stripes all over the place.

My local dealership in Akron, Ohio, has 4 M4 GTS sitting around...two of them are in the showroom, and I believe two of them are frozen. They don't have such...drastic...market adjustments, but no one seems to be biting anyway...
Maybe now that the weather has improved, they'll sell?

I just noticed that's my dealer too. The other dealer is in Sherman Oaks with the same markup. A third dealer in Thousand Oaks has a couple and the salesperson said they're open to offers, but I didn't find out what they'll take.

Let me think here:
an M4 GTS for $234k OR a 991 GT3 RS or 991 Turbo S for much less hard choice iirc

Yup, the i8 had a $200,000 markup and, yes, rich morons walk in and buy them on the spot.
The more interesting thing is, usually said morons crash these cars within 2 weeks and are stunned to find out that insurance doesn't cover the market adjustment! oops. |
