Yes 285's will fit,
I have a set of Michelin PS4's 285-30r 20's on this setup just the same.

Hey guys, new here. 2015 M4 Cabriolet, 2012 X5 5.0.

Own property in Edmonton but I work all over the province and in southern Saskatchewan. The //M has seen all the way south to Vancouver and north towards Grande Prairie, with lots of year round time in odd places in-between.

Hey all, I’m a new proud owner of a 2016 BMW M4 Black Sapphire Metallic since June 2018. See pictures attached. I love this car and couldn’t have made a better decision. Summer was great with the car. But now Fall is here and Winter is on its way. I’m thinking of doing a square set up of 235/40R18. What would you guys recommend for winter tires for this high torque RWD car in Edmonton? Studded or nun-studded? I’m leaning towards non-studded. I have been hearing good reviews on X-ice, blizzaks, and hakkapellitas. But which one is the best? I only care about best grip and traction. Thanks in advance!

I have 255/40/18 in the front and 255/45/18s in the back for my winters. I have the Michelin X-ice tires. Works pretty well so far, I haven't gotten stuck yet. The braking is good but the acceleration from a stop isn't amazing when it's snowy/icy out. It pretty much is what I expect from a RWD car in those conditions though.

I’ve run both blizzaks and hakkas, honestly they were both fantastic and I couldn’t honestly recommend one over the other.

This was on my 335i with Dinan tune.

Been driving it for a few weeks now. You really appreciate the car after driving a boring crossover all winter.

There is the BMW Club of Northern Alberta on Facebook. I've never been to a meet so can't comment on the turn out. But might stop by for the next one in the m4.
