Agree 100% on the sensors. Can't have the best of both worlds. Wish you could still just spec the lights by themselves like it was on the 2016s...

Sounds like most people get the exec package?

Yes- the heads up display is awesome. That alone is worth it IMHO. I also didn't realize how much I would appreciate the heated steering wheel in the winter months.

I mean I only got Exec, partially because of the lights but because my current build has Exec. Now I can't live without it lol. Them adding in a plethora of stuff like lighting package among other things to exec was just a bonus for me. I'd have gotten lighting and exec anyway but just bunched together makes my life easier.

Go for BSM, best M3/M4 color by far, that's what I have, and if I didn't get BSM, I would have gotten MG, or tanzanite blue or azurite black if I were going individual.

It is all about how you drive the car. You could be very flashy if you drive like an ass even in a BSM or AW.

Of course, but I don't think that's the concern. Some people don't want to convey a certain image with the color of their car. It's totally understandable. This less about those drive widely, and more about those who get stares when pulling into their local eatery.

(says the guy with the SO M3).

Yes.

And if you don't like them you can get the competition package "for free".

As in, you buy the ZCP and sell the four wheels for ~900 each.

If you want to sell you should get the black ones.
Is this really what people are selling them for?!?!?

Nardo gray is beautiful and breaks necks at cars and coffee. I wish I got it.

I have a 15 6MT mineral grey and love the car. I also blacked out the windows and windshield. I also have 2 little ones under 3 so it's not too flashy. Waiting on delivery of my SSII and will do the same to it

If you are worried Silverstone may be too flashy, an M3 may not be the car for you.

Silverstone is subtle and highly under rated. Visibly unique in person but also blends in enough because it's mostly just silver. Also easier to maintain. No regerts here. My car is pretty much what you described.
SSII is gorgeous in person. Very underrated, agreed.

I don't think this is fair. I love the performance, style and fun that only an M3 can deliver (plus the 4 door practicality). However, (perhaps I am alone here) I don't really like a lot of attention.

I appreciate all of the comments and now agree that SSII is just about the least flashy color available. I can't wait to get it!!

Don't sweat it man. Same line of comments that say leasing these cars means you can't afford it either. Choose what makes you happy.

Thinking now I should have gotten SS II.
Picked Alpine white as it was the only non-metallic color. Figured it would be easiest to touch up but damn if it doesn't show bugs and dirt more than black. Hides swirls well but the aforementioned plus tar not so much.

Previous touch up experience with a metallic blue Cayman made me skittish.

My view is that it is literally impossible not to have regret with the colors/options that you choose. M3 looks so good in every color and they each have pros and cons. One day I love SSII and the new I wish I had the beautiful BSM. Go with what you have and love it! I have the same feelings about options. Whatever decision you made was the best one, so go with it!

Chose MW for low key easy maintenance, SS is definitely NOT flashy and very much under the wire.BSM and MG also subdued but require much upkeep, good luck & don't fret.
