Letting your wife carry your spare key in her purse means she's never waiting for you to unlock the car with comfort access. This means your wife is happier.

Why did I never think of that before?

In my case that would concurrently increase risk of losing spare key by about 100%.

Knowing my wife, definitely true for me as well. Great idea, though.

When she does, it changes the driver profile and I end up sitting too high and too close to the steering wheel .

I'm pretty sure that button has been there since the F-series chassis came out. My 2015 435 had it

Why wouldn't it be a button if it's labeled, and especially if it's lit at night? The first time I looked at the steering wheel and I saw the Mode button I thought "Oh, that's how you change the source from the steering wheel."

In almost every audio system ever made, and not exclusively to cars, if there's a "Mode", it means "press me to change the source".

News Flash!!! The matching button on the left side, conveniently grouped with the cruise control functions and labeled "Res" is also a functional button and it means "Resume the cruise control"!

Wait do you mean full throttle past resistance and then "downshift" NOT "upshift"? Yes the car is designed to kick down multiple gears but it is not good on the clutch

Where / how? I'm sitting here pushing the button and it's rotating through time, range, exterior temp, etc... no oil. Am I pushing the right bottom? End of left stalk next to auto high beams?

Women's purses are black holes. The same as throughout the universe. Anything they put into the purse never escapes. This is a scientific fact. Just as the earth is round. Thus, your key will never actually be 'lost'. It will forever be locked into the confines of the purse/blackhole due to the immeasurable gravitational force.

The problem to be solved is not 'where is my key?'. We know exactly where it is. Rather, how can I harness the force necessary to reverse the key back through the event horizon...

Best of luck!

The DCT will blip the throttle to rev match on multiple gear downshifts, hence no impact on the clutch.

Until they take everything out to change purses and throw some stuff away they don’t want to put in the smaller purse.

Are you daft? The "Res" button is not short for "Resume cruise control".

It's a contraction from the colloquial Latin "Resumo ad celeritatem asinae", translated literally as "renewed at the speed of a donkey". Not just cars, but as long there's been non-human powered transportation devices, everyone knows that this has been a means to set the beasts on a constant steady speed that doesn't require additional input from the driver.
