Can I exclude Parking Assistant from the Executive Package?

I just saw the executive package for 18 has the additional option , can this be turned off as i dont need it

BMW Parking Assistant searches for a parking space, and does the parking for you at the drop of a command. Ultrasonic sensors in the side indicators search for availability when traveling at speeds of up to 22 mph. Blue arrows indicate if parking is available on the left or right side of the road, while also taking care of steering as you select the correct gear and control the accelerator and brake.

I have a 2018 F80 with Executive Package and to be honest I literally did not know this feature came with my car. I have never used it, would never use it, and don't know how to use it . I really only ordered the ZEC for the new icon headlights (and now that I am used to it, the heads up display is pretty awesome).

Also read that backup camera is a standard feature now and not park of executive package!!. Exec package has side and top view cameras

is executive package worth it then? i had taken it for 16 mainly for backup camera and HUD

I was curious and I just looked in the manual to see how you even activate this feature.

It is activated by pressing the "Park Assistance Button" which is the same button used to toggle on/off the top view cameras which I use all the time.

I have done it many times where I park and toggle my rearview camera to switch to top view to make sure I am in the lines/etc. I have never felt the car wanting to take over control or felt any interference.

To be honest, even reading the manual, I am still not quite sure how to fully activate this self-parking feature lol. So no, in my experience, there is absolutely no interference from the parking assistant.

I have it. It's buried in the menu somewhere. You have to turn it on when you want to use it (I never have thought).

As of when? I have an '18 on a boat now that went into production end of September. Wondering if that would have included mine as well.

Yep, works great on my 6MT car. I've only used it once or twice to try it. The "scan for parking spaces the car will fit into" function of it is really useful.

To answer your previous post, it doesn't interfere. It only parks itself if you want it to.
