Speculative specs (translated by CanAutM3):
  • Will be lighter with a new platform
  • Will use a development of the 3.0 liter 6-cylinder twin turbo with ~475ps base, ~500ps for the "M3 Competition"
  • AWD with RWD at the flick of a swicth reserved for the bigger and heavier M5, M3 will be RWD only
  • 6MT will continue to be offered
  • Should get more expensive going from current 77.5k Euro to about 80k Euro

The car looks good.

Awd would be a nice option to have.

Not sure why u guys complain so much.

We need this information as it's helpful when you are looking at 4 different cars when your lease is up.

All of us are shopping the new C63S, CT5-V and M3 stateside.

Bmw keep the images coming, you guys are ahead of the pack, I'm leaning towards the M3 in mid 2020 when my lease ends

Back looks like Kia Optima.
But I like the front though.

Just give us those rims already! They teased us with the 2002 Hommage Concept and now this.

Is this one going to continue being excessively refined and isolating like the current car?

I was actualy expecting a similar M5 MxDrive in it. I will be very dissapointed if they will not offer it. I love RWD with all my heart but for the folks up North it will be a blessing to own one car all year round.
Plus you can have it AWD or RWD. Best of both worlds.
Still hoping though, I postponed my order only because of this. (And because of the horrific hoodline on this model...)

I can't believe what I'm reading.

People asking for an awd m3.

This brand isn't what it used to be.

Good attempts, but its not proportional to BMW. The front is too thick, rear is like an old ford from the 80s/merc. I do not think so. Look at M5 for possible inspirations.

Renders usually get the lower front air intake angle wrong.. it's typically been / \ not \ / for the most recent M cars.

This whole render is lame, IMO.. wheels are its saving grace.

Well that is one perk of going American.... you won't be limited to greyscale plus a funky blue or orangey - red like you would with a BMW

3.5L TT V8 that revs to 8000. That's what this car needs.
