All my cars have been DDs, these cars are not built to be garage queens. They are built to be driven every day everywhere. Well within their capabilities of course.

Yep it's my DD as well. But I just got promoted to a new job which is less than 3 miles away so I'm planning to put about 5k/year on it. For long trips we take the wife's RX350.

I do have another, larger vehicle (2010 4Runner), but the M3 is intended to be my daily driver. My prior fun car was a 2006 Corvette, and while I drove that pretty much daily I did need the extra space of the 4runner fairly often.

No one should buy this car for a weekend toy. Waste of money. It's based off a DD 4 series. It's an everyday sports car.

Daily driver, expect to do around 25-30,000km a year on it. I've had it 2 1/2 weeks and it goes in for the first service on Thursday when it will have 2,300km on it and the next day will be driving another 1,500km (and another 1,500 a fre days after!) Hopefully it will be as reliable as my last car which did 240,000km in 6 years (an Alpina) and only ever needed a lambda sensor replacing. I'll be driving it in all weathers, in fact its already been through some torrential downpours on the autobahn and through flooded roads...

By one day, but I did get my car earlier than you did! What I predicted! LOL!

Maybe a better question is, whose M3/M4 is NOT a daily driver?

I drive 70 miles/day round trip for work, occasionally work from home, and often need to do 250-300 miles in a day. I average 15-20k miles a year and usually several days of snowy roads.

Looking forward to it in the M3. The balance speaks to how much fun it'll be to plod along int he snow.

DD. Had the new toy for only a week. Overall impression: better than the e92 M3's I have had. Wife LOVES the new M4. Fast, stable, quiet, composed. People really comment about it also. Thumbs up!

Of course it's a DD. Not expensive enough to keep in the garage and fawn over all day and be too scared to drive/wreck. But fast and fun enough to drive and enjoy everyday.
