It's getting harder and harder to be an M car owner. I feel your pain man.

I'm kinda surprised by how many people put the food in their trunk. Maybe a pizza that can fit in the net since it is a flat box, but a bag with take out cartons or containers with liquids?

Floor in front passenger seat. I keep rubber mats in all year, so a spill isn't an issue if one does occur.

I use the net. If it's too big for the net I will put in my M performance re-usable bag I got at PCD last year. It's always in the trunk. I can use the handles of the bag to tie it to the net.

I put it in the trunk and attach the handles to the grocery bag holders. Forgot they were there but work great and I can still torch the car.

Same here.

I don't get the concern lingering smell if you're just driving a couple of miles home and do it fairly infrequently? It's not like you're letting it simmer inside the car with all the windows up for days.

a pizza carton at best- using the net in the trunk

then again i would probably allow the passenger to bring a sealable water bottle- no cans, coffeecups etc

Cool Hermetically Seal the Food

I have an aversion to food being eaten in the M3, and I try to be a realist since I have the family, (2 Boyz). Once in awhile take out / leftovers will travel in the car. When it does, I ask that it be hermetically sealed, triple bagged.

Perhaps there could be an anti smell apparatus provided with every ///M to prevent the sense of smell from being offended.

I put mine on the floor of the passenger side, pushed all the way toward the front. Then the only way it's going to tip over or slide around is under hard acceleration, which I have control over. (sometimes )

I do the same thing. I also keep a large recycling bag in the trunk, so that I can place the loose items inside, grocery or take-out.

My boys and I eat in the car, mostly fast food on extended trips or finishing up breakfast. The car serves me, not the other way around. Plus, a good cleaning job takes care of spills.

Like many have said -> no food in the car. I am ok with drinks, though, if they have lids.

Pop the hood and put it there so by the time you get home it's still warm.
