Salvage 16' M3 - What it’s worth and how much do you think it would cost to repair?
Only 14k miles and this car is about 50 miles from me.

Those wheels don't look like the m3 originals...

I wouldn’t mess with it, if the insurance decided to not fix it that should be enough to walk away.

It doesn't look too bad, then you notice that the dashboard panels don't line up and are askew. That tells me that things are shifted at least up to the A pillars. Which is probably why it was totalled despite not looking too bad at first glance.

A car like that is ruined, period.
It will never look or drive the same, and should only be used for parts.

There was a post in the track section of someone's "light hit" on the front fender that turned out to be a huge repair. My understanding of the owner's posts it's because of all the aluminum in the car transferring the crash forces to other places.
I think you got lucky not buying it. I'd only get a crashed m3 for parts |

I'm curious now how an M3 would fare in a crash test against a normal 3 series. If that theory (of force transfer) is true, i guess it would mean a better driver protection in case of serious accidents.

I was just saying that someone posted that a similar hit was a $500 fender swap in an e36 but much much more in the f80 |
