grrrr, I wonder what the hold up is!?
Check the WW tracking site at this place tomorrow (8th) or the 9th, you may find that your car did make the Torrens. It took a full day after the ship left port for my car to show up on the WW site.

You guys are pros at this...

My car finished production Monday morning (July 7th). I guess I should expect a late August pick up?

At least your car is not sitting in Halifax waiting to load on rail. My car's been there since June 30. Still not showing up on CN.

Wouldn't say "pro" but here's what I'm just going through (starting in June) but translated to your dates:

Jul 7 - finished production

Jul 9 - left factory - call your dealer to have them confirm this date. Get your VIN from the dealer at the same time.

Jul 9-15 - unknown status but presumably being rail transported to B'Haven and then parked at the big parking lot waiting for loading onto a car carrier. This will be the AIDA if you make the July 15 sailing. There is no status or record of where the car is during this week. Others seem to experience a longer wait (2 or even 3 weeks) which may be caused by the boat's being committed to other shipments (the boat carries more than just bimmers). This webcam shows you the parking lot

Jul 15/16 - the WW cargo tracking site shows that the car is on the boat. Put your VIN in the CARGO ID field (rightmost text box). This status showed up one full day after the boat left the port!

July 15-29 - travel to Halifax, you can track the boat's progress in coastal waters at this site. You'll need the boat's IMO number. Tracking is lost once the boat gets more that ~30-50Km from shore receiving stations

Jul 29-Aug 21?? - Allow 2-3 weeks for Canada shipping and dealer PDI. This is the stage my car's at and this is a rough estimate based on comments from others on this forum.

Hope this helps

Yes, I would say you will see your car early to mid Aug at the latest. My previous car took only a week to get from Halifax to Ottawa.

You're welcome - my car just landed in Halifax today, so it will be interesting to see just how fast it can get from there to the west coast. I'm in Victoria, so in addition to the rail trip to Vancouver, it has to "jump" across the pond to the island.

Yeah, that'll be an interesting rail.

Let me know how long it takes and I guess it'll take a slightly shorter amount of time for mine, seeing as I'm in Toronto.

Even worse for me! I'm still stuck in Germany for 2 weeks just waiting to get to port! I really hope its just an out of sync tracking system.

Seems like you're foreshadowing everything thats upcoming for me. At least if it was in halifax I'd consider flying there to break into the ship yard and stealing it (err, taking whats mine?)?

LOL

I work in logistics so I can trace the vehicles once they are in Canada and loaded onto rail (assuming CN).

Really? I wonder what that's all about. I actually thought it was because of the storm they were expecting.

You can trace it www.cn.ca but you need to be registered to trace.

If you have your VIN you can trace your vehicle to see if it's on the boat
https://offices.2wglobal.com/offices...slanguage%3Den

Type in your VIN under cargo ID.

For rail it is www.cn.ca but you need to be registered. Not as easy.

You were right!!!! I just checked and now the most recent status detail is that its "Received at terminal".

Above that section in the "Voyage Details" it says the ship is Torrens leaving today, arriving in Halifax on July 21!!

So it seems like maybe they're still loading cars onto the ship? When your car was loaded did it then have a different status other than "Received at terminal"? (i.e. on the boat?)

cheers!

Keep checking, status updates seem to be slow - you should see "loaded on vessel" at some point. Here's what mine looks like now.

Thanks. Hmmmm, the ship already seems to be on way so either my car didn't make it on or the system is delayed. Did yours update right away when it was loaded onto the ship? I'm wondering why else in the Voyage Details section they listed the torrens as my ship if it hasn't been loaded on yet and the ship is under way.

My car better be here, lol:

It took a whole day after the ship sailed for the correct status to show up. Hopefully, yours will be the same. Keep checking!

My car is officially sitting at the port as of this morning.

I guess it's time to use the information and learn to track the car's voyage lol.

And once you know which ship you're on, you can track it in real time. Mine seems to be on the Torrens and is right here:
