Done under warranty, so it was zero cost.

OP...have 25,000 miles on F80, and spark plugs replaced as part of CBS at that mileage.

Cost to you under warranty is zero.

Condition based service. It's the thing that tells you when service is due.

Some folks state that their M runs "better" with the new plugs. I haven't noticed a difference with my butt dyno. The direct injection imparts wear and tear on the plugs...good idea to have them replaced.

Unless there was something wrong with the old plugs this is likely a placebo effect. Same way the at feels better after an oil change.

Mine definitely felt livelier after new plugs. Got my top speed back at my local track after new plugs (used to get 234-235km/h when the car was new, dropped to 230~231km/h with worn plugs and was back up to 234~235km/h with the new plugs). New plugs also got rid of the occasional but annoying "Drivetrain malfunction" and limp mode when at the track.

Hard to believe, but my service with plugs and oil filter took less than 2 hours.

Ask for a loaner just in case...

That's good to know...I am clearly not pushing my car hard enough to appreciate the difference.

Like an hour and a half or so. I personally stayed and walked around the lot.
