That's going to be expensive, wheel/front wing/door/rear quarter/front suspension plus any other bits you can't see and everything that needs to be replaced just in case + the entire side of the car painting.

I feel for you, hope they do a good job.

You may be right! Not sure what the replacement car is going to cost either. That arrives Monday and I'm guessing it will soon mount up.

Looks like I'm going to be using a nice M3 in YMB for a few weeks. Bargain at £580 a day -not! No wonder the insurance market is nuts.

Is that through a company called accident exchange?

A mate a few years ago had a non fault bump in his S3, accident exchange got him another S3 to run about it, because the wagon company that hit him were being awkward the claim took months, the hire S3 ended up costing over £30k

Hi Colin. I do have an "accident management company" appointed - I'm guessing because it's been decided I'm the no fault party - but it's Kindertons.

They have taken over the whole process so I only need to talk to one person. To be honest I'm very impressed so far. They even have their own app so it makes communication very simple

Current estimate for the repair is 3 weeks so that's a £12k bill, but I've been told there's a substantial discount when the final bill is paid. Either way, this simple shunt is heading towards a £25k bill. Outrageous really.

Bit late to the party but sorry to see a hurt car (especially an SMB one). Mine's back in again shortly to have a new rear bumper following a shunt. I've got Hertz doing the accident management company bit and I have to say, it's been a breeze.

Just would like people to leave my bloody car alone and stop hitting it!!!

Hope it all gets resolved nice and quickly.

Looks like 11K is the answer!

New front wing, door and rear wing. New suspension, steering rack, steering column, new wheel.

Now I just have to wait 3 weeks

Been driving the M3 all week - it's on 19s - have to say it's a more comfortable ride that the CP's 20s

They are all a rip off. They make their money from charging the at fault insurance company stupid day rates for hire cars. This then in turn drives up insurance premiums. They are hire agreements that you are getting into.

Also be warned that if the company disputes the hire charges it could take years to settle and you will have to provide all sort of paperwork to support the claim.

Take the crappy insurance replacement car its far easier in the long run!!!

I don't like accident management companies myself...last time I got hit by a van my insurance wanted me to use one. First thing the AM company wanted me to do was sign was some sort disclaimer that I would be liable for some costs in certain circumstances.
So I talked directly to the 3rd parties insurance, turned out pretty easy to do it all myself. Had the work done by BMW and got a descent loaner.

I have used them as the dealers do push you too I was a little bit worried about the disclaimer at the time as well.

How is the M4? Enjoying it?
