New to the forum, SO F80 CP on order

Hi everyone! Thought it was about time I introduced myself, after all I have read just about every thread on this forum. Just a little bit of background, I am 26 and have been a HUGE BMW fan since I was young. Last month I finally bit the bullet and ordered myself a Shakir Orange Compertition pack M3 with black leather (extended not full) I didn't go mad on the options, with crazy headlights (as awesome as they look) and sun blinds (come on I live in the north east of England) The spec is as follows :-

Shakir orange competition pack DCT
20" 666 alloys
Carbon fibre interior
M HUD
HK audio
Speed limit display
Reversing camera
Extended storage
Sun protection glass

Week 9 build week 12 delivery

This is my third BMW and my first proper "M" I am going from an M235i which I love but the deal on the M3 was just too good (17% discount). Some photos to follow when I pick her up but here's my last two

Thanks no I haven't done one yet, I can see this forum costing me a lot of money. I keep looking through and seeing new bits I want. I'll update with pictures as soon as she's mine. I think the BMW Genius' must be getting fed up of me!

Nicely focused options. The only one I had over yours was the heated steering wheel and I find that fabulous. But then as you come from the NE, you don't feel the cold

Thanks, I honestly thought there would be more SO it's such a nice colour. Good choice with yours I love the Tanzanite blue! I first seen it on Pistonheads M4 when it was at Brandshatch for the touring cars looked so good under the sun light

Yeah, I could have went mad with the options and spent a small fortune but I used my sensible head and I'm going to keep some money back for some other goodies for it. Yeah I had the heated steering wheel on my Z4 and rarely used it, I did think about adding it because it's not an expensive option and lots of people have told me how good it is. Hope I don't regret not speccing it.

I have owned two orange cars in the past, a 1.1 litre Peugeot 106 independence (first car) and a 2010 Seat Ibiza Cupra TSI i don't know what it is about orange cars i just love them. I think the Shakir Orange is absolutely stunning.
My car has moved onto status 5055 three days ago with the build week moving forward to this week (week 8) exciting stuff!!!

not that brave, saw one in Peter Vardy last month so ordered one with full black leather and black 666 wheels from Eastern

Not long now for delivery then? I don't think there's any more YouTube videos or threads on here I can possibly watch/read. I really can't wait any longer, that said I will really miss the M235i for it's everyday useable performance. I have a set of rear tyres to kill when I get home from work in a few days.

Hope this keeps you going till you get yours, this was prior to black grilles and carbon fibre diffuser and corners being fitted.

Looks like you are at a Detailers? What did you have done? I have mine booked into a friends place for a ceramic coating as soon as I pick her up, I have had cquartz finest on my last two cars but he has recently started using fireball stuff and I fancy trying it for a change. Your car looks lovely, the paint is incredible

Gtechniq Crystal Serum Black, that was in October 2015 when I picked her up, the paint still, looks as good now. Expensive but well worth it in my opinion

Thanks everyone, just had an update this morning that it's currently at status 5200 - Pain shop start and we are still on for a week 11 delivery. Sadly I am at work for three weeks starting that week so looks like April pick up

It is a fairly popular colour - but less than the grey/white/silvers - I give you that.

Its the combo that makes it unique though for all colour choices and they are of course personal. For me had to be Cohiba/Sakhir Orange.

Love the Car! Did you have the Carbon bits put on before collection or did you wait and do them yourself?
I have just got the spoiler on Order from Cotswolds and I'm tempted to give it to my dealership to install for collection day.

I had the rear spoiler put on by the dealership when car was picked up new as in my mind this was the trickiest part to get fitted but the easiest choice in terms of what I knew I wanted; I had not yet decided which way to go for front splitter - it was to be Lightweight, but then I heard of bad fits on this forum and then the weird looking bolt / placers put me off in the end... I was waiting and looking for something good to turn up so was in no rush.

I went for a Vorsteiner rear diffuser but that never fitted correct and so in the end I went full OEM mainly because I wanted the parts to fit without cheapening the car - and this happened in part because of an awesome deal CotswoldBMWMini did around Christmas time 2016 when I had rear diffuser blues.
