Got super lucky on a GTS

Picked this frozen grey up and got super lucky. Originally had no intentions of getting the GTS with the huge mark ups. Just for the heck of it I started shopping around because I figured whatever was left around in the winter might sell at a more reasonable price. I wanted frozen grey, but I knew that was a tough color to get (esp at MSRP) as it sold out first. I called all the local dealers and went on the net. Found a black car at MSRP and was happy and was going to pull the trigger. I made one more phone call to a local dealer I had forgotten about, they didn't even have the car listed as the owner was going to keep it for himself. GM spoke to the owner and he said it was frozen grey and the owner decided he was going to list the car. I got lucky because I called before the car was even listed. Originally wanted $15k over, I pushed for MSRP. Owner said if I buy it today, he will let it go for MSRP - sold!!!

I know the feeling. Same thing happened to me with a white one two weeks ago!
What you are saying about the winter is absolutely right. Best time to buy sport cars or convertibles!
It will be impossible to find one at that price past April.

I think there are 2 available at MSRP in the Chicago area. One white and one grey. Not too late...yet. Check other posts from the past few days.

my local dealer had 2 in the service area..
one white & one grey....both BEAUTIFUL....really purpose built look.
is the white concerned Mineral White OR Frozen.?
...can we say BMW's version of a GT3-RS??...
SA let me sit in the Grey one....very very nice...about time we got the fun stuff here.

BMW Murrieta story: Boris Said refuses to sell anything over MSRP, says alot about the guy. He rolls in a GTS he ordered for himself on showroom floor. He just got it in, there were 3 customers on the floor looking for other vehicles, all 3 guys saw that Boris was selling this car, all 3 wanted it! All 3 participated in an immediate coin toss. One winner took car qualified immediately, car was on floor for 3 minutes unsold, all the rest is history.

Love BMW of Murrieta, amazing dealership in my opinion.

Says a lot about that dealer while others are still trying to get $30,000 (or even more) over MSRP.
Looks like the GTS is still in high demand!
