Although I would think it would follow the same guidelines at GrussGott's Moonstone, as I mine will most likely have to be pulled from the line. Ordered Atlantis Metallic. At least from what I have gathered reading this thread more common IM cars are line panted Tanz being a good example vs something like Moonstone or Atlantis. Someone remind me to take photos of my engine bay when my car comes in lol.
Trust me this thread will still be around.

JcLusso started this shit a while ago and this thread does not ever die.
I'm still not sure how someone even came across this 1.5 year old post

Interesting - definitely seems like:

(1.) The new Munich cars are fully painted frame and body, individual or no
That is, this IM SMB, Arcades's IM grigio, and Wah's beater Sakhir civic are all fully painted.

We can even notice new tagging where Butty45's simply says "IPP process" which I take to mean Individual Paint P[german-something] (the other option is doesn't mean that at all), thus the frame was not separated from the body for painting. In Munich, the full car gets the full paint.

versus

(2.) My Regensburg M4 vert, separately painted frame and body
3 years ago it appears and I was told it was hand painted, this year's car definitely looks robo-painted ... and in both cases the frame was painted separately from the body. (see pics above)

To add some new info, OP's car from 2015 was painted in Regensburg and did get the full enchilada, however his new 2018 car, that was also painted in Regensburg did not.

Seems like it was luck of the draw, or more so luck of which German dude painted your car back then.
