Looks great!
For sure a hard top convertible car can't be a proper track car, and also can't be compared with the Boxter GTS

So much better looking than the E93!

It kind of reminds me of the E46 when the top is down.

Saddle brown leather

Loving the car and surprisingly leaning toward MG over black now - but not liking the red leather - prefer something more like this sort of saddle brown with the MG body.

Even BMW is into stereotyping, they put a lady at the helm of the convertible

Why? What's wrong with GTS? (except that it's ugly compared to any Bimmer)

Hehe
M4 convertible (4 seats) + Hardtop vs Boxter GTS (2 seats) + Soft top: for track use my bet is on Porsche.
As a DD / usability + comfort + luxury the bimmer is the better alternative.
More close in a comparison would be the M4 Coupe and the C2S.

Congrats! I'm hoping to order the exact same car within a year or so. Did they tell you when they're expecting your car will be in? I've seen some stories mention Sep 6 in the UK but I haven't seen anything quoted for the US.

I believe it's mid September -- there are people with allocations for ED in Sept, mine is in Oct.

I was told by BMWNA that ED for the convertible starts on Sept 12th (mine is included for that day - MG/fully loaded excl CCB, with Individual Amaro leather and Piano Black trim). Initially my BMWNA rep thought we could do it in August but not to be. Presumably deliveries straight from the factory w/o ED could arrive sooner?

I think you'll be the first forum dude to get a 'vert ED ... you realize the pressure right? picture, blogging, and such?

I just want to ensure you understand your responsibilities.

No pressure! . Will take some will power on my part to remind myself to snap pics as I will almost certainly be totally absorbed with the car on the day - knew I brought the wife along for a reason )

I´ll have a look when i´m back in the office on monday.
Performance part prices are still unknown.
Steering wheel is made by individual in Garching and will be based on the regular one and not on the performance steering wheel. (so i can keep the steering wheel heating )

Awesome, thanks ... do you have trouble with the Alcantara getting grimy?

I'd love a regular wheel, just with the carbon inserts ... any advice there? thanks!
