Tip on removing the wheel arch film?

I'm curious if anyone has removed the OEM protective film on the rear wheel arches? Mine is getting a bit discolored and beat up and I'm going to replace them with new and would appreciate advice on a good/safe way to remove them and also how to prep the paint before adding the new strips.

Note: I'm not interested in having more premium film as xpel etc. put on, I'm just looking for DIY advice for the OEM film.

Thanks!

I did this on my porsche recently. Which are HUGE stone guards. I used a blow drier, goo gone and denatured alcohol spray.

Heated a corner up and slowly peeled it away. Used the goo gone to remove the glue left behind (not much) and the denatured alcohol spray at the end to make it as clean as I could before adding new ones.

Just dont pull that stuff off COLD. It must be warm and GO SLOW. Slow is Pro.
