Anyone On The Athens Highway Vessel?

Finally heard from Genius that my car is on the Athens Highway vessel and I think it just left the German port. Anyone else on board this ship?

CA told me it arrives in Galveston on 12 September. Add 1-2 weeks for delivery. Are you in Texas as well?

Turned Around?

Hey gang, I am on the Athens Highway as well. I was tracking it today and noticed it turned around and went back to Germany. It went from Bremerhaven to Belgium, then to Southampton, UK... and now it is back in Germany at a port called DEEME...

Anyone know if that is normal?

In any case, on that crazy ship is my 2017 M3 ZCP 6 speed. Mineral White on Amaro Brown. Truly can't wait to see my car. Let me know if anyone has any other way of tracking this ship... the company that operates it doesn't have any tracking resources at all. Thanks!

Oh that sucks...but maybe that is normal? I heard from Genius today that it is scheduled to dock at the Houston port on Sept 14th.

OK, the 14th is making more sense then based on the ship turning around. It was originally scheduled for the 12th and clearly that is now 2 days behind schedule. I guess they had extra room and VW called them to offload some TDIs at the last minute? Just kidding... in any case... hopefully we see some progress across the atlantic in the next 24-48 hours.

I definitely am getting PPF. Clear bra's have saved my butt more than once from large rocks to even eggs being thrown.

Portugal, Barcelona, Galveston, and a good book...

OK everyone. Two things:

First, anyone in Austin waiting for their car? If so, let me know and we can get together once they arrive.

Second, it appears that our cars are now on the southwest corner of Portugal and will go through the Straight of Gibraltar this evening. Lord knows why they are going to Barcelona... perhaps they need to be blessed by the Sagrada Familia before coming to Galveston.

https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9443073

In closing, coincidentally I am reading a book (Isaac's Storm) about the Hurricane that hit Galveston on September 8th 1900 and it is unreal how exposed and vulnerable that city was / is... if anyone likes a good book, pick it up.

Have a great night everyone...

Thanks for the great update!! Let's all keep everyone on this thread updated, might make the wait more tolerable. I am in the north Dallas area, but I'm sure there are some Austin folks with cars on that vessel.

My last BMW did not have such a random port, but I suppose this is normal.

I am not in Austin, but do love visiting it. I actually plan on being down there this weekend. It is not too bad of a drive from Wichita Falls so I am down for a get together once everyone's M arrives.
