Car missed ETA date...

Hey so my car was supposed to be shipped last Thursday and arrive on Saturday (the 25th). The car was released to the carrier but has not been picked up yet. Why could there be a delay like this? Makes me nervous somethings wrong with the car. Can my salesman find out more then BMW genius can tell me? Advice? Would at least like to know what the hold up is or when it's going to get picked up.

Update*** 7/31:
So I just called BMW and now they're saying my car was released to the carrier (again), left the port (again) and for the 3rd time changed my ETA date. My salesman knows nothing. Who can I talk to to get some answers?

Call the 800 number - they will have the best data. My car was released to trucking on Saturday, I could see it on the truck inventory on Monday Afternoon, but it wasn't actually loaded until Tuesday afternoon. Others have waited a couple days longer. It does NOT signify something is wrong. Just the last of the steps that we can't see a clear status on. With luck it will be loaded today.

Happened to me. My car arrived at the VPC July 3rd and cleared customs same day even though it was a European Delivery. However, it was released to carrier on the 15th and didn't get picked up until the 21st and wasn't delivered to the dealership until the 25th. I'm 4 hours away from the VPC. I also felt the same way you do now but it all worked out in the end. Odds are they were just waiting to fill up the truck.

Update- salesman said he got in touch with someone who said that my M4 is being held for "duty". He said the guy (whoever he is) and my salesman have never heard of that before so they are trying to find out... anyone know what this means?

I had a similar issue with my E93. It was held for an extra two or three weeks due to customs and duty inspections. Hang in there!
