Bremerhaven Drop Off

I'm on the US west coast and the redelivery time from ED drop off is eight to ten agonizing weeks. Does anyone know if a drop off in Bremerhaven will speed up the US delivery, and if so, by how much?

Thanks.

It might by a week or so, but that's it.

I think it took my car exactly a week from dropoff in Munich to depart Bremerhaven on Dionysos Leader. IIRC, others on the same boat dropped off before me, so YMMV.

I don't think you can drop off directly? When i dropped off in Munich I was told its 500km to the port. It was on the boat like 3-4 days after drop off. The wait is totally BRUTAL once its on the boat though

There is a drop off location in Bremerhaven. Not sure if it is at the port or not.

It might speed it up marginally, but the cars all sit there and wait for the next boat, regardless of when they get to Bremerhaven. I dropped off in Hamburg (September 9th) and it was in Bremerhaven the end of that week, but sat there for almost two waiting to get on a ship. It's been 7 weeks now, and the wait is killing me. Couldn't imagine having to go 10... Apparently my ship out of Bremerhaven had a stowaway on board causing another week of delays since it had to turn around and anchor in Southhampton for several days.. . But that's a another story for another time.

Depends on if you have a flight booked home or not. I would imagine its a long walk home from there...

I would not drop in Bremerhaven on the chance that redelivery might be slightly faster. Do your ED trip without regard to that and accept the fact that redelivery is brutal.

Having said that, I would not drop my car in Italy and have it driven to Munich.
