I seriously can't believe how many whining crybabies there are on this forum. All of a sudden it's a sin for BMW to go back to its roots which is what the same people complaining were asking for lol.

^^^^ Agree. People slam BMW losing focus and going soft (335i GT anyone?) yet what we love about the company is that they're relentless innovators. I'm ok with the brand constantly changing as long as the core models live up to their proven missions.

Change is good, and I do not think that a year from here the whining will be like it's now. People like me need time to adjust. While adjusting, we make noise with no real will to be heard, just to get over the fact that world ones again didn't stop because we wanted it to do so. I'm sure I will cry like a baby when I start my car for the first time, and it will take a few seconds to learn to like the new soundtrack. Give us time, some of us will man up, grow some balls, and start acting like adults, some like me, will stick to what was given to me, and use pms as my excuse to be a witch. |

You are one funny gal one thing for sure real performance drivers should only buy manual those who choose auto I understand your laziness but you are not a real involved driver and traffic is no excuse buy a crappy auto for that...
Sorry to rant about the love of 6 speeds but as a professional driver I have to profess my love of Stick especially with BMW the last of the true drivers cars!!! |

My car will hardly see a track, and because we live so far away from the shops (less than a mile), the milk temperature is the only thing I can use to justify this purchase. The M5 you sat me in, that would have handled the milk also, but there comes a point where one must consider the insanity of wanting something. That sound hounds me, but then again that alone can not be used as a buying excuse, since the heavy metal will be the only thing my eardrums can pick up on. Still, you, mr Cuddly were the only one who didn't try to tell me, that girls should drive anything else than manuals. For that, I will be your DD one of these days just to see you fold on the back seat of the M4 of mine. Srry about the OT, but I'm hopeless anyway and the last one hit the mark (almost) so I get one free! Last edited by Lups; 04-12-2014 at 10:58 PM.. Reason: I suck in English. sorry. |

I Love you all BMW Da Best Motorwerken so excited I can't wait until the 1st M's come in also looking forward to the Board of Trustees Drive M's in anger festival being held at El Toro...
OK that is not the official name on the invite but saying any more will get me in trouble as long as Sir Loin and Lups keep me in Peter Parker mode. And yeah the Swedish Police I am sure they enjoyed the AMG sound. |

How I know this all, I will never tell. Sir Loin and I will not tell on you, because he told on me, and I will tell on him, I'll befriend his wife and tell him, that 400+ hp is not mandatory even here, if he rats on you. Women never let anyone buy these cars. I have no excuse for myself. C, Let's go trough the pipes tomorrow. I may need your expertise in the sewing machine debarment, since I have no idea what they are alike. I imagine tough that that's not something you think would fit my world, if you bother to mention it. |

I saw this car ripping down the front straight at COTA today. It sounds really good. I was a non believer in the beginning. But this gives me hope for aftermarket exhausts on the M3/M4. It had a deeper sound in person, didn't hear much rasp. It did not sound like my old E46 M3.

For me, the sound the car makes is integral to the experience I have driving it. Cars like the M3/M4 should be an event and not just a boring commute. My fear has been that performance added from the better engineered force induction will be offset by a lackluster experience do to a very poor sounding car.
It definitely sounds better than I thought it was going to sound, but it certainly doesn't sound great. One of the main reasons I didn't buy an F10 M5 is because it sounds really bad. People talk about how great it sounds. I think those are the same people that think B&O car audio sounds great. I am hoping the awesomeness of the F80 will be enough to offset the lackluster soundtrack it seems it is going to make. Also, I wonder if aftermarket exhausts are going to have to have two different versions. One for DCT to help with the fart dump you get from FI cars, and one for 6MT cars. |

Its growing on me. I think will all eventually get over it. If not, i think there will be plenty of E90/E92 M3's going on sale

It sounds amazing but I don't see it much of a step up from current/recent cars like E9X M3 (with or without MPE), N55 cars with PE (135i/is, 335i), 335is, Z4 35is, V10 M5/M6, F10 M5, and the list goes on. In some cases, it's even a downgrade.
At least, it sounds better than most E46 M3's. *Flame suit ON!* |
