I've never noticed this, and I have the moon roof which I open up on nice days like we've been having here in Sacramento.

I have no sunroof. Windshield is tinted well beyond the AS1 line. Full windshield is not tinted and don't plan to since it looks like a new windshield will be needed every few years for me. Car is tinted. I'll probably get the CF wrapped in matte XPEL to see if that helps.

Never had this with the CF trim but my dad had Piano black in his old F80 and it was dreadful for glare, and also a complete scratch magnet... avoid piano black at all costs!!

Never had that problem. Get your windows tinted. I have mine done at 20% sides and back and even windshield at 70% and it helps.

Post some pics. I’d like to see how this actually turned out.

Yes, I have experienced this problem a few times.

Yes, both to the right of the dash and just to the right of the 6MT. I always wondered why others never said anything.
I have had it happen in other cars as well, no biggie.

I'm just messing around. No sunglasses on at night.

But do wear em during the day so haven't noticed the glare. The car is also tinted, which may help depending on where the sun is.

Never. I'm wondering how many people have experienced this who have their windows tinted. Theoretically, your interior will be dark save for the front windshield and so glare will be more intense. One of the reasons I have grown to dislike dark window tint is that it makes the windshield more relatively bright and creates a lot of glare. It's like driving in a dark tunnel with one bright light at the end: it's going to be more intense than if you didn't have tint because your pupils would be more dialated with tints. I just don't enjoy the lighting ambiance created with dark tinted windows.

The hood is a shocker for reflections from the flat part of the power dome as you say in the winter.

My offer still stands. Would gladly take your unsafe CF trim for my very safe aluminum trim.

Since my eyes are already all squinty from my asianess, I’m pretty protected. Just would hate others from putting themselves at risk.

I haven't had a ton of problems with it, but I think the CF would look a little sportier if it had a matte finish. Also, the clear coat over it is much more likely to show fine scratches over time.
