Headlight fans running continuously?

Has anyone experienced a cooling fan running continuously from each headlight assembly when the daytime running lights are on? The fans turn off when the headlights are turned on, but the fans turn themselves back on when the headlights are off.

I thought it started when I coded NGHB, but I just VO coded back to stock and the fans are still running.

Does this sound normal?

Never heard of this before not even in bmw training.
What you might be hearing is the water pump recirculating coolant through the system after you shut it off.
Mine stays on after spirited driving and you can clearly hear it.

Nope. Completely cold engine. I even opened the circular access door on the top of the headlight and the fan is definitely in there and running. In the video you can hear it stop running when the headlight is turned on and start up again once the headlight is turned off. Again, this is a cold car and cold headlights.

I think he has the LED headlights. I was told they had cooling fans, but I've only seen them in operation in a showroom and couldn't hear the fans...

Update:

After being away and not touching the car for two days, the headlight fans no longer run with just the DRLs on. So, I recoded NGHB and the fans started running again, but stopped after the car sat overnight. I know sometimes the vehicle needs some time to settle after coding changes and I guess this is one of those items that needs time.
