Well for one, these colors can continue to remain in inventory because people keep building cars with them so it remains an option even if you must pay $$$$ for it, secondly, if more people build cars with a certain color BMW can see that this color is indeed popular and may offer it as an actual normal color option or use it in a special edition or something.

While a person may not like Fire Orange(I do), there's still colors like the azurites and laguna seca blues, etc out there.....When someone makes a video on youtube of their Laguna Seca M# and the videos gets 100k plus views, with 30k thumbs up and 50% of the comments are positive, BMW, dealerships and enthusiasts take note.

Maybe it may make a difference maybe not, but each leap of faith is recorded in the BMW system through orders.....and this particular color definitely has a sporty charm, so much so that it was used by BMW in an ///M Performance Parts advert and more than the YMB M# that was in the video, most people took note of the Fire Orange in the video.

Anton! Congrats again buddy! Was a pleasure delivering this beast to you.
Remember to keep in touch with me and let me know if you need anything.
Should've seen the look on the old mans face when you pulled off. That exhaust is insane bro.
We definitely need you back for the Rallye Motorsport Show. Hope Pete told you about it.

Give a look at the Grigio Telesto thread. I know at least 2 people I've talked to are seriously considering it for LCI cars. Who knows if these will materialize, but these owners have now gotten a much better idea of how it will look in the metal than if they were just ordering the color blind.

People who find the palette weak for their taste and are looking at spending upwards of $80k may find a car that really speaks to them by others buying cars nobody has seen until they risked the order. Some colors, on some cars, just don't look right.

Without having examples of the car to see and no photographs available for reference who knows how the shade fits the shape.
Have a look at the responses to the VioletBlau II cars as BMW put that on display at auto shows. A good number of perspective customers had very high opinions of the color, but without BMW showing it they would only spec the car with an assumption of the color fitting the profile - if that makes any sense.

For some reason the non CCB Brakes just look weak on this car, with the aggressive body and paint the CCB/Gold Calipers are a must but whats another 8K right!

Assuming he means we're all benefitting by getting to see the cars we all love in colors other than standard offerings.

Don't you enjoy seeing new one-off colors on the f8x???
