Why the heck was this post moved?? The post was more about folks being able to listen to the M Performance exhaust not showing a video of the car, by burying it into this area of the forum means a lot of folks won't see it now.
Too bad.... |

I agree. I was told by BMW Parts specialist that rough price for MPE will be around 7K. I am hoping that we can get a cheaper price if ordered with Port Install and see something around 4K. If not might as well get the car and have it installed so that you can sell the original exhaust to a 335i M Performance car owner and at least make back half the money. You can always hang it in your garage wall as would be my plan. it would look awesome hanging above my ceiling.

I sincerely doubt I can justify spending $7k on an exhaust, no matter how good it sounds, especially when competing exhausts are significantly less.

No one official has stated it will be 7K... I would hold off on making judgements based on that. Remember, the E9x M Performance Exhaust was 4k...

I just got quoted here in South Africa for the M Performance Exhaust...although not yet available, the pricing is already up on their systems....price here is equivalent to roughly 4.5k US dollars (unfitted)...
Cheaper than the Akra system at least! |

Still awaiting pricing also. Might just go to a local muffler shop and slap on something with mandrel bent pipping and magnaflow mufflers.

I don't understand why an M car doesn't come standard with an M performance exhaust? BMW puts a horrible sounding stock exhaust on an M car, then releases an M performance exhaust that sounds like what you'd expect from a true M car so that everyone can upgrade and spend more money.

I spent some time with one of the specialists at Bimmerfest and from what I gather
- Its a full system with catted downpipes - Price will range from 4,500-5,500 for the full system - Its still in testing stages - Made from titanium Note- It sounds way better in person then this video and I like the idea of a full system with downpipes from the factory Alex |

Sounds better than the silly Akra (IMO), but still not THAT great. I'm more excited about the Eisenmann mufflers. They almost always sound amazing, regardless of model.

Completely depends on the material. If it's titanium or Inconel, then it'll be a lot more expensive than SS.

Whoa -- if made from titanium, and improved cats, this will be sweet.
Likely to be part of CSL or GTS or...
