I use my C63 as my DD on my 28 mile (round trip) commute and the M3 at weekends.

Is that so?
Personally, I doubt it, around the Nurburgring, the times I found were; C63 S Coupe 7:44 M4 7:52 Whilst the same driver as the C63, set a time of 7:36 in an M5 comp and 7:50 in the M3 CSL back in the day. All were tested by Sport Auto magazine. Have you actually driven both?

Hahaha, yes and even MB are selling the virtues of its T model body shape.

If all the people who have commented on my C63 - plus road test reviews - are anything to go by, you might have a problem with the part of your brain that processes sound.

the past 5 years, only 3 people knew the difference when asking me about the cars. The rest ask if its a 335 or 435 or X5 or etc. I personally prefer to stay low key so I like it that way. Others might not.

I too have owned both. An f80 m3, f82 m4 and a C63S coupe (facelift). Both are very good cars. The AMG imo is a much better street car, and the M feels more precise than the AMG but then again, the AMG and M feel downright sloppy compared to my how my 991.1S, 718 GTS, and 991.2 S and T feel...so it’s all relative. |

The competition is more balanced though and a much more analagous competitior to the C63S. C63 = M3/4 C63S = M3/4 Competition C63S (Black Edition if there would've been one) = M3/4 CS...can't imagine what a C63S would do to an M3/4 CS. Just saying. |

There's a reason why you NEVER see Benz on the track. The AMG GT makes an appearance here and there but it's a much rarer car and actually drives well. I've driven the C63S, owned an E63 and 5 other MBs. They have BMW beat in quite a few departments including ride comfort and luxury but performance? Not even close, unless your idea of performance is roll racing and lets be serious "performance" is a misnomer in that context. Like I said, you don't have to believe me but head over to the track one day and take a look at which companies are the most prevalent and putting down the fastest laps: Chevrolet and BMW. If you got a C63 or an E63 for performance reasons, you'll either be extremely disappointed or need to have performance defined. If you want a luxurious car that can roll race at traffic lights, it's definitely a better car than the M4... just not the M5. Last edited by NYG; 10-25-2019 at 09:08 AM.. |

I don't know if sloppy is the right word but AMG and M are both a major downgrade from Porsche so you're getting what you pay for. Like I said before the AMG GTR comes close but still won't touch the real king.

A friend who is a real petrol head and has owned fast road cars for years, won't ever put them on track as he views them as too sloppy.
