MAX Wheel and Tire Sizes (F80 M3)

BMW Fam,

Im getting ready for spring down here in Nashville, TN. So that means I'm looking for new wheels and tires. However, i want to fit the widest wheels and tires I can using little to no extra camber. I will be lowering, possibly on Coils but i may just go with springs.

I plan on running Sport Cup 2 tires; My goal was to use at least a 305-315 tire.

Has any testing been done on the M3 for max wheel and tire fitment?

For the rear you can run a 11.5 et 45 with a 305 Sport cup 2. I am working on a 12 rear with a 305 tire. This is with Kw clubsports.

Ok. Is a 315 out of the question with a drop? Send a pic of you get a chance Man. I'm interested in how it looks.

I'd also like to go with a 12"; is that stretching the tire with 305? Or is it still pretty much standard.

We have ran the 305 numerous times. 315 could be a little difficult...

Do you know what the clearance difference is between the M4/3? Does one have more room for rubber than the other?

What wheel sizes have you used with a 305 tire on an M3?

I don't believe one has extra clearance but don't quote me on it. I would love to try and test fit a 315 on the rear of my incoming wheels but they are 20x11 + 30 which is super aggressive so I won't be able to do so.

We have ran a 19x11 with a 305 no problem.

What would my wheel and tire specs need to be if i went with 18's with 275/305's?

Stock rims prefect for 275/35 Front and 295/30 x 19 Rears

My custom ordered 2015 M4 which I took delivery of in December and really love it. DC 7-speed transmission, Brembo Carbon Composite Brakes, Active Suspension, Harmon-Karden sound system. Perfect!

On the way home from picking it up at my wonderful dealer Rusnak BMW, Westlake, CA. Only problem is the stock tires are way to narrow for the power. I stopped at the tire store and moved the stock rear 275/35-19 Milchelin Pilot Sports to the stock 9" Front wheels, and added new Pilot Sports 295/30-19 to the stock 10" rears. Cornering and traction is incredible now.

I want to get 1/2" wider Forged front 9.5"x19 and rear 10.5"x19 Wheels, but no one makes them at a affordable price, While the 11w x 19" that everyone is mounting on the back just doesn't look right with so much offset and adds extra weight. And he Michelin tire specs chart show the stock M3/M4 9" and 10" wide x19" rims are fine to go 2 sizes wider with the tires, so no problem.

I had also pre purchased H&R Springs to lower and firm it up, but after driving it stock it handles so perfect and corners so flat, I don't want to screw it up. I had H&R Coil Overs and Sway bars on my old E46 Ms and it was awesome, but the ride did suffer and the suspension did bottom out when carrying passengers. This new M3/4 Active Suspension is really awesome.

Even though the new M3.M4 is factory rated at 425hp, dyno test show it they really has 480hp stock. I also purchased the Turner Motorsports power-up module ($1500 vs $2,500 for a similar Dinan unit) which takes power up to 520 hp. But I haven't installed it yet, it part because the stock car aleady has more than enough power for the street, and the wiring harness i connectors under the hood on the engine are a little difficult to get to, to plug it in.

Can anyone comment (VMR, etc.) on 19x10 ET25 on the front and the inner strut clearance? I am going to be running on KW CS coilovers and I'm concerned about clearance. Ideally I would run 19x10 and 19x11 but again I want to make sure the front will clear without a spacer. 19x9.5 is probably safer but not ideal with a 19x11 rear.
