In my Pocket, on silent. You shouldn't need your phone while driving...

All you need is pretty much available, the bluetooth helps you receive make and answer calls. M3's are standard with Navigation, so you shouldnt need it for maps.

For tack Days, and testing, I made a Mount out of Meccano and bolted it to a suction cup to place it on the windsceen.

I'm with the rest on using the cup holder because it's usually in my back pocket, but I hate driving with it in my back pocket so I throw it in the cup holder. I would place it in the armrest but I tend to forget it when I do.

Hate vent plugs, especially when hot air causes the phone to overheat and shutdown in the middle of navigation.

Just turn off that vent. There are plenty of other vents to go around

I keep it my pocket or in my bag. I can do everything I need to do via idrive and voice. Have zero need to look at or touch my phone while driving. iPhone X

If I need a charge I'll toss it in arm rest and close the lid.

Still provides voice alerts through Bluetooth if it is in the center console.

Best $8 I ever spent. Strong enough to hold my iPad mini as well as my phone. This rectangle one is much stronger than the round ones.
