DMV Driving with ZCP 666M 20" Wheels

I'm just curious of opinions on how the ZCP 666M wheels hold up while driving around the DMV? Especially driving around I-495 with all those bridge gaps and insane bumps? Potholes are a given and can be avoidable but some of the bumps that spans the whole width of a lane or wider are unavoidable. Are guys with competition packages getting bent rims in this area given the low 30 profile tires that M cares are equipped with?

I've been daily driving my ZCP with 666M since June with no problems including a few trips on 495 and plenty of downtown DC streets. But I plan on switching to 19s during pothole season.

20k miles on my ZCP and I daily commute into Bethesda from Laurel. I've had some scares for sure but came out with some minor scuffs. Knowing where the grenades are on the route is key. I do plan to go with 19" with some meaty tires in the future. This will hopefully grant me a more comfortable ride.

Good info guys! That stretch of 495 from College Park to Bethesda has some bone jarring spots.

Sooner or later you will rip a tire or two. Although compared to 5 years ago the roads are much better today. Good luck!

No bent rims here after 7k miles. Most of my driving is in the Annapolis area, but I do drive on the beltway and make trips to DC occasionally. And like others with this setup, I am very aware of my surroundings where I know roads may get a bit rough.

Definitely a concern of mine too given how many 18 inch wheels I bent over the years in the DC metro area. I am speccing my F80 with comp pack but skipping the 20s and going with the 19s. Beltway is awesome compared to what it used to be but still bad enough roads in downtown DC where I commute.

Be careful on the George Washington Parkway between 495 and the spur, my
daughter hit a big pot hole in her Mercedes ruined her front right tire. The
whole parkway is full of pot holes.

Over a year and 16k miles on ZCP wheels and knock on wood, no issues yet. I too am likely to switch to 19's though soon enough because it does seem a bit like russian roulette. Tough though because I get so many compliments on the wheels from non car geeks!
