At the shop ready for the PDI. Hopefully I'll get to drive it a bit this weekend and give some
Feedback. So far what I can say is that the car looks VERY special in person (much more so than I expected). It is difficult to know how incredible it looks until you see it in person. First the color is stunning, and many have commented on the LRG. I absolutely love the interior, thought that black would be boring, but the Alcantar bits make it standout. I know some people hate the door cards, I love them , they look very sporty and unique. The carbon lip and the spoiler look fantastic, and The contrast with the LRG is fabulous. The cup 2 look very meaty and the wheels play very well with the golden calipers. One last thing to mention is that the exhaust tips are much larger in diameter and this makes them look way sportier; also love the finish of the tips. I'll provide more details in the days to come. |

This is one of only 6 M4CS for Latin America (not including, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina). So, I asked the dealer for the favor and they obtained a special permission from the shipping company to drive out the vehicle to guarantee that it was not damaged.

So I did about 200 miles today. These are my initial impresionas after owning a M4 ZCP DCT for 2 years:
First of all and immediately noticeable is how much better the suspension is. It's is simply much more forgiving, settled, and compliant in every setting... don't know what the hell they did but it is a mayor improvement not only in terms of comfort but also how it deals with road imperfections at speed. I was not expecting a big difference, but it is greatly improved in that regard. The second thing I immediately noticed is just how much more confident I feel driving fast, mostly because it provides more feedback from the chassis and steering wheel. In the ZCP I never new exactly where the front tires where, but in the CS the steering is extremely precise. I also have a much greater sense of what the back is doing. I don't know if it's the tires, the suspension or the steering but it all seems to come together and work in harmony. I love the look and feel of the Alcántara steering wheel but it is too thick.. for some this might not be an issue, but it just feels uncomfortable. The grip of the tires is extraordinary, although I did not push the car too hard (break in period), it is very noticeable ... they also pick up pebbles and dirt all the time... which is somewhat annoying, but it is a small compromise for the grip. The grip makes the car feel absolutely planted and very sure footed. The acceleration feels more "linear" and less spiky, more controlled. Love retro A/C ... it is "refreshing" to have an A/C that just works! If your warm, just twist the nob... it reminded me of cars from the past where everything was simpler. LOVE IT I have not missed the center armrest at all, and discovered (had forgotten) the small compartment to the left of the steering wheel that fits my phone, wallet and keys perfectly. Regarding the sound, vs the ZCP it sounds WAY MORE natural and I only hear sound from the front (engine) and back (exhaust). The door cards don't have speakers anymore so their is no unnatural sound coming in the cabin in the middle/sides. The sound is also different from the ZCP; it's more metallic and more 6 cylinder like and less V8 like... it sound more racecar if you will, more raw... it is though, a bit quieter at low revs but wails much more from 4000rpm and up. Finally the look of the car, you have to see it in person to really appreciate how much more aggressive it looks than the ZCP. My 4 friends that went out with me today in their cars all commented on how much more sporty it looks than my previous ZCP. This is what I have so far... will give more thoughts later on. SO FOLLOWING UP ON THE PREVIOUS FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Went out again on Sunday for about 150 miles and did one of the most challenging and twisty roads I know, which I drove all the time in my zcp. In short I'm simply surprised of how different it feels comparatively to the ZCP. I honestly did not think I would notice the difference so much. Again the suspension and wheel/tire setup trasform the car. The grip is outstanding, didn't think it was possible on this generation M3/M4. It is just absolutely planted; the grip is outstanding. I feel the CS feels more balanced more neutral. Feels lighter in the front and more planted in the back. This doesn't cause understeer but maybe the 19/20 set up has had that effect. The DSC is less intrusive than the ZCP maybe because it just has more grip everywhere. Finally, the Comfort setting for the steering wheel is perfectly weighted and I can definitely confirm there is more feedback....not much more, but noticeable. I summary, it seems that all the small tweaks that seem minimal have made a substantial improvement to an already great car. Just what I hoped for. |

you have the perfect temps where you are for the cup2s, keep the pressures at 2.4 bar hot, this may mean you starting them out at 2 bar or 2.1 bar cold.the pressures rise quickly on them.
Agree with your views on the suspension, at high speed the car is also very stable. Enjoy your stunning motor |

Nice ride. Yes the Sport Cup 2 tires kick up little pebbles and rocks in parking lots. You will want to do an Xpel paint protection behind the wheels to avoid rock chips from kicked up pebbles. I did this on mine to prevent chips. The tires are literally like slicks!!!!
