It's not even activated yet. It's not activated until it's at the dealership and ready for pick up.

Once the car is in Halifax, you won't be able to track it by rail unless you have access to a CN rail account. Otherwise, just give it a week.

Then keep checking the Hansen's website. You'll be able to track it from the Concord auto park to the dealership.

I thought i read somewhere in this thread that they truck the car directly from Halifax to Toronto for ED cars. Is this still the case?

Oh. For ED cars I'm not sure. Bit for everything else, 100% is by rail.

I didn't get an ED, but I am 90% sure they truck it direct from Halifax to Toronto.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I got back from my ED trip at the end of June. I dropped the car off in Munich. How long does it typically take for the car to get on the boat? I've checked the WWS website and nothing shows up when I enter my VIN.

Sometimes there's a delay. And then it suddenly show up even though it's been loaded a few days ago. Just keep plugging in the VIN, and one day it will show up.

That's it? I was checking 20 times a day. Lol. And then I did the same thing when it got to Concord to see when it would get on Hansen's delivery truck.

You'll go crazy trying to track it. I did the same hourly / daily checks initially but then switched to weekly updates to maintain my sanity LOL

ED cars are trucked from Halifax to dealers in the GTA.

Regular cars are transported via CN rail from Halifax to the big rail yard in Vaughan. Then trucked to your GTA dealer.

I don't think you can track by VIN on WWS anymore.

I did ED in May and I tracked the car on jcars.blg.de/wps/portal/extern/exportinfo with VIN and contract ID given by LogInOut. With the vessel number obtained from there, you can track the actual location on http://www.marinetraffic.com/

My timeline:
05/30 - Drop off at Munich
06/15 - Departed from Bremerhaven
06/27 - Arrived at Halifax
07/18 - Loaded on CN
The car should arrive in Concord, ON sometime today(07/20) or tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will be ready for pickup next weekend.

Yes that is very correct. You can’t track on WWS anymore. I tried numerous times.

Here’s my timeline:
06/16 - Drop off at Munich
06/25 - Departed from Bremerhaven
07/06 - Arrived at Halifax
07/19 - Loaded on CN

As you can see mine takes a shorter time than justus4. So the times varies vehicle by vehicle.

Wow this is very helpful. I've contacted my dealer to see if they can help with any information other than just the VIN. I've been back for three weeks hopefully it's already making its way across the ocean.

Shitty for you, my buddies F82 is scheduled to be picked up by Hansen's on Wednesday. Truck Halifax to GTA. It was an ED car.

Hi! My new m340i is not ED but my dealer trucks mine from Halifax to Parkview too b/c CN rail is on strike now and they want my trade-in 435i so bad to sell as cpo. How long does your buddy's car take from halifax to Toronto via truck? 2 days? Mine shown on hassen LHF website yesterday Nov 19th as scheduled pickup (yellow/active). Today it shows grey/competed for pickup. But it still shows me ETA Nov 28th which is weird. CN rail is faster than that. I think it is a very VERY conservative ETA.
