Point being, everyone leases nowadays and except for perhaps this very small cross section of people on forums, don't care about the cars they have. They are only "renting" them and all. So things like that happen, meh.

Now if they were paying 4-500 more a month for them, actually owned them and had to answer for the way they treat them by resale, I think this country would be a different place then it is now, but leasing has changed all of that IMO.

Sorry I'm not up to your intelligence level.

Just look around you, it's easy to see, no one gives a crap about what they drive, or what anyone else does. Do you, probably, do I, most definitely, do tons of M3 owners out there that only bought a name, doubtful.

I'm not just speaking of cars we all love here, I'm talking the Toyota Sienna, the Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, anything really. Back before leasing it was much less common to see people crapping on their cars or other people's. Now in my experience people just don't care, I figure the shift happened when someone can simply go lease a vehicle, drive it without much concern and just return it. Taking care of a vehicle when you own it means more resale value when you unload, now with leasing that is not the case.

How many horror stories have you seen of people not even changing their oil on a lease vehicle for the entire duration of the lease? I've seen quite a few.

Holy crap guys, lighten up, don't take it so personal. I'm not talking about you, the fact you are here talking about cars daily seems to separate you from the people I'm referring to, regardless of if you paid in cash, financed or leased.

Perhaps my observations are strictly from the area I live, who knows.
