Who here is looking into a Midpipe?

anywhere on here considering to upgrade midpipe or has already done it? how is the sound? is the drone bad?

I think a great solution is to deleting your secondary cats - replace them with straight pipes for like $140 CAD at a local muffler shop. I've done it myself and there is ZERO drone as long as you keep your OEM resonator in place. you get more engine sound from the front and sides of the car, better breathing (improved throttle response, stronger top end pull, maybe 3-4HP gain all together)

BMW stock exhaust systems are of excellent quality/design and I think that a full cat-back is useless - only improvement on stock exhaust system is needed for optimal price to performance ratio.

I think a great exhaust setup for the m3 would be downpipes with a secondary cat delete OEM muffler/ Resonator. Minimal drone and excellent gains for a reasonable price.

what do you guys think?

no. I'm sharing my experience with deleting secondary cats and curious to see what others have with their M3's.

I was looking to post this in a section of the forum relevant to secondary cats/midpipes and figured this is a good place.

I think that there's a thread for exhaust-related topics under Technical Topics. Look around.
