Coding F82 GTS Rear Lights
Hi,
What's has to be coded to activate the BMW M4 GTS Rear Lights on a BMW M4 F82? Can this be done with esys? Do i need to add any VO code? Thank you! |

Change that in your FA, be sure E-Sys isn't set to write it back to your VCM, and then VO-code the appropriate module(s), which I'd imagine would be REM. Nothing you need to know other than Typeschlussel. |

If OEM lights had an option code, then there'd be some removal necessary. Since taillights are, from what I understand, based only on zeitkriterium (possibly) and typeschlussel (definitely), oh, and chassis code (kinda), then in this case, no, there's no removal of anything necessary. Good luck! I'll have my hands on a GTS for the first time (hopefully) sometime this week, and might be able to grab some FDL code captures for you if absolutely necessary. (I'd wager it's not.) |

To be sure: vo coding is like changing a normal transmission to a sport transmission? Edit the FA and add the VO code to the list and code the modules, right?
Like this: http://www.bmwesys.com/guides/VO%20C...ep%20Guide.pdf Nice! Looking forward to hear more! Thank you for the help! |

In your case, I'd imagine REM would need to be involved, potentially also FEM_BODY, but with that said, I've read elsewhere that GTS taillights are plug-and-play (although I have no first-hand experience to say whether that's true), so there's a chance that the modules just need to be 'taught' in ISTA aka Rheingold... so tbh that's where I'd start first, personally. |

Again, why don't you just VO code them with a modified FA for the GTS?
While this may seem like a pedantic response, it's simply a plea to consider the far simpler approach. |
