Best for what?

Power? All downpipes will give you same power

Sound? Most catless will sound very similar

Fitment? All proven brands will fit like a glove + come with warranty againts defects

AR design Catless + resonators is my favorite

VRSF is our most popular choice

I think what OP means is best overall.

That fits spot on without any leaks or rattle + made from good quality material so it does not fail a year after purchase

I had a 328 customer call me last week, he bought a cheap downpipe (known brand) and it ended up damaging his midpipe.

One thing on downpipes that always has made me wonder. All of them neck down to less than 3" to meet up with the stock exhaust. If someone is using an aftermarket exhaust it goes from a 3+ downpipe to a stock diameter, and then back u to whatever the aftermarket is. It probably makes no HP difference at all, but still bugs me.

Just installed

Active Autowerkes catless DP.

Price is good and the plus is it having a flex joint. Fitment was spot on and the sound is just pure race car

I would also like to add that the flex joint may be extra important to those looking to do aftermarket midpipe in the future. Had it not be for the flex points in the OEM downpipes, I might not have been able to install my Fabspeed midpipe (which makes the car sound much better).

Just extra insurance. AA said they did this because if vibration but this will definitely help with installation of other aftermarket exhaust pipes. I'm on the fence about removing the cats but if I were to get a set, it would be AA's or Akrapovic due to the flex portion.

Tons with no issues.

ER has been there since the beginning, we're very happy with quality and fitment.

The the type of flex section akrapovic, bmw and AA uses not only flexes left and right, but in and out.. As mentioned helps with install, heat expansion, and vibration.
