I would be priced out for the CS so I would go keep it exclusively DCT.
That way I can say... dang, I would be all over it if it were MT. Oh well, I have ultimate driving (manual) machine Lol

All hail the 6-speed god. But I did see that the CS doesn't come with a 6-speed as well as no arm rest..... the CS is cool and I guess it'd be cool to have one but honestly, I can't stomach the huge markup that's going to come with the car as well as of course the no 6-speed option. I need a manual back in my life... DCT just doesn't cut it lol. So no CS order for me.

M4 CS MT
Okay, so it isn't the M3 CS, but I was looking at ordering a M4 CS MT before I found out MT wasn't available to replace my C63 AMG. I'm going to replace my car next year with a MT car, after having a couple DCT/MCT's, I'm going back to the MT.
Since the M4 CS isn't available in a MT, I'm either going to have to go with a M4 CP or I'm looking to go to a Porsche. I'm leaning Porsche at this point in time, unless I can get a M4 CS MT. |

People in the US ..... the only country in the world it seems that loves MT, which is funny, because automatics were ubiquitous here while we were still rowing gears in Europe. Now I live here and I want MT as well, so you got my support. Plan B is Porsche, followed by M2 CS if it were manual. |

I think the CS would have been amazing with a manual gearbox, though the DCT is a fantastic gearbox nonetheless.
I just got back from a drive in my lowly stripper base M4. What an amazing vehicle! I don't think I could ever get rid of this car! (I absolutely refuse to drive a 911....) |

I have multiple times and I don't think it makes a difference. The last one was to point out that if 330e and x540e can't get the green carpool lane sticker in CA it will be an issues since MB and Volvo competitor PHEV can get that sticker
Also, on the M3 front, I didn't write for 6mt because it would not be credible coming from me. I ordered my f80 with dct since it was shared with my MRS |

Go for it! And you'll vote with your wallet as well by buying MT BMW as well as with your pen, so more power to you.

As many have said, no manual, makes it VERY easy not to have any interest in the CS.
And if the next M3 does not have a manual, I wont be buying that either. Ive bought my last 3 M3's because of the manual. I could care less that DCT is "faster", manual is more FUN! Isn't that what its all about? If the allure of the manual has to be explained, you don't get it. Its not faster, its not a better technology, its about the enjoyment. Ill never get over it. |
