Sits too high
I still have some issues with the cars. I believe the cars should sit lower, there just seems to be too much of a 'fender gap'. Also, I think the wheels are wrong for this car. It just doesn't seem to work. I hope that BMW will offer other wheel options from launch.
I also still have a real problem with the 'cupholder' area of the interior, it just looks too cheap. For me it's a real eyesore. I had hoped M would have made some changes here. Covered the area with CF ie M6. However, on a positive note, it seems that the sports seats sit quite low in the car. One issue I have always had with my previous e46 M3 was the high seating position. I never felt I was part of the machine. More sitting on top of it. |

My '08 E92 doesn't have it. Underhood insulation is for noise control - not really a goal on this already quiet engine. Also, you want to let all the heat that can escape from the hood, especially with turbos.

I don't know about this new M engine, but the 2.8i X1 sounds like a diesel and I wouldn't call it quiet...

Probably the best combo of the limited palette thus far. Would be Sahkir Orange leather but close enough to red. Mineral grey would also be nice outside with SO.
