FYI this thread links to what Amaro Brown and Gold Brown look like courtesy of some of our friends here on the forum in a 6er and an F32! Tough choice they both look soooo niceeeeee. I've been torn and asking questions for pics, and now both are finally available with great real world shots.

I tried to change to TB but Maria said I could not get a build until mid sept. So I'm sticking with YMB and ED mid-Aug.

What week number did she say? Mine's a week 36 and my Sales Manager was calling Maria today.

She was a little vague -- mid-late Sept Euro delivery date.

Not really the news i wanted to hear, but it's all good. This is an email I got from Maria this morning.

"Tanzanite Blue Metallic is only available as a special order on the M4, and the timeline just wouldn’t work with the customer’s Delivery Date of September 17th. If the customer is able to change their delivery date to the last week of September or early October, it would be fine, but the driving conditions in Germany are sketchy at that time of year.

Let me know what they decide.

Noted the change in your sig -- back to YMB. YMB is a) more visible, b) easier to maintain, c) cooler, and d) cheaper. So we can look on the bright side of this... Unfortunate that BMW originally suggested July for availability.

Especially when our brothers North of the border are getting TB ones in week 33. Of course, it is a standard color for them.

I still dont get how it is going to cost $5k for Estoril blue, a color available on a 320 for $500.

I know many dont find it special, I dont care... its the best color IMO... I'd HAPPILY pay 1950 for it... but cannot swallow 5k.

Yeah that sucks and I'm with ya - I saw an Estoril m-perf and it was awesome ... if they had that for the M4 I'd definitely be getting it. I also like Ruby black which seems like it would've gone great with an SO interior so not sure why they didn't offer that as well.

Overall I'm too thrilled with the colors ... also why not a cool red or green?

I changed from Black Sapphire to Tanzanite blue. Now bumped from week 36 to week 41 . Not sure if it was the color change since the week. 36 was estimated but now week 41 is confirmed. So only a 16 week delay after ordering in March with first allocation and being delayed due to full leather and CCBs. Sticking with full merino black unless anyone thinks there is a better combo with Tanzanite Blue. Only concern is wife has carbon black/mocha x5 and feel the colors are somewhat similar - but don't really care that much.

Bump was for color. I have a week 36 build also and wanted to change to TB. I was told by BMWNA it would delay at least 3 weeks, so your timing makes sense.

If I was going the $5k route (but come on BMW, these should be standard), I'd go San Marino or possibly interlagos ... there's a full comparo here and a look at how San Marino shifts in the light here

I saw a San Mario M6 on the road yesterday and I have to say it was the best blue I've ever seen in the wild. I just wonder if it's too luxo for an M4, but it was awesome - turned everybody's head. Here's pic from the comparo above:

I know a lot of you have been concerned about whether or not we'd be able to keep our suite in Paris. Well, UPDATE! Suite booked.

In case this is, in any way, helpful to anyone:

We used the call-different-people-for-a-different-answer method. We kept calling, writing down the names of people we were talking to and escalating to managers. We spread the calls out over their working day and the week to get new people. Eventually we got a nice lady who sent us to their corporate office. After a discussion with them they took pity on us, called back the property, and got us our suite.

It's a milestone anniversary for us so it was worth the time/hassle.

San Marino would look badass on an M4. My next one will be an individual.

Even my wife said, "whoa, what's that??". It was funny because he turned out in front of us and then we followed him for a bit into a right-turn lane.

As the car drove past you could see the heads of all the people going straight turning one by one! Hilarious. Then we followed him past a strip mall and everyone was looking and a little boy pointed.

Here's the problem for you pack-man: it has just a hint - and I'm talking small - but just a hint of purple. That's WAY too close to vikings colors.
